Humph, that just flies in the face of accepted spelling conventions. But then I also found "smilies". Oh, the horror of American English and common usage.
I first signed up at BYC about a year and a half ago. When Brennan (my now 5 year old) would ask me what I was doing, I would say "reading about chickens." So now, each time he sees me at one of Nifty's sites, which all look similar, he asks me, "are you reading about chickens?"
He reads over my shoulders sometimes and thinks the smileys are funny. He asks, "What's that one doing?"
I just pulled up the reply box so I could show him the menu with all the smileys. He wanted to put the best ones in a box to show everyone.
