You've got a lot going on!!! I agree about the sweet dough. Yech! I have one bread recipe that turns out sweetish and I haven't made it in a couple of years. Yay for getting your cleaning done!

I am so glad to find out that I'm not the only one that will dig up potatoes to see if they're OK. :hide

My guys throw fits if I make bread with any other recipe but the sweet one. I don't really care about making it for DH, as he takes the whole loaf for sandwiches during the week, but I need to bring the kid around to my way of thinking. I'm leaning towards the "If you don't like it, make your own!" method
I am so happy I've gotten some stuff done around here, and didn't have to stop and rest every 15 minutes either :D I hate letting the house get yucky and, despite the guys trying to help, their idea of clean and mine are polar opposites!

I admit, I have always been bad about doing this to plants - my Dad said I used to dig up my bean plants as a kid, just to check on their progress!

Thanks WBF! I can't hold a candle to you, but I'm sure glad I'm starting to feel almost back to 'normal' lately!

Glad to hear that you're feeling better! :hugs

:fl that your fruit trees do well! :fl

We had a mild, mild winter (t was more like Spring) and just when the peach tree decided it was time to bloom the temps dove down into the 20's. Doc was working nights at the time so I got to wrassle a blanket onto it by myself with 30 mph winds...Yay! It looks like we might have a whooping two peaches growing. :gig The two apple trees never even bloomed so I suspect it didn't even get cold enough for them. :barnie Glad the blackberries seem to have over-wintered for you. If they don't make it, I'll replace them, my dime! ;)

Hope you have a great weekend! :hugs

I am hoping for at least a few apples and pears this year :fl although we actually have a possibility of snow in the forecast here today :/

I am very pleased with the blackberries! They were an experiment in over-wintering for me - could I keep a plant alive, with minimal attention, in my garage, until spring came? When I put them outside, DH just shook his head at me - they were dried up looking twigs sticking out of the dirt. I kept telling him they were just sleeping, and quit picking on my dried sticks  Slowly, little sprigs of green began to appear! In the last week, 4 have put out leaves and have really started to take off! :bun Take that, doubter hubby! :D

I put Ice Cream out in the back 'field' - a small area that DH had cleared a while ago that had quite a bit of grass growing in it. I sat outside with her for a while, to make sure she was alright (yes, I am over protective  ). She seemed fine, so I rounded up my goofy dog, who was rolling around in the field with a stick, and went in to continue my inside stuff. Next thing you know, Ice Cream is bawling, repeatedly. Rocky and I run outside: She's wrapped herself up in the only branches hubby left, right on the edge of her grazing area  I untangle her, while the dog whimpers and hovers, worrying that his pal has been attacked by giant pine bough monsters. Free her, move her tie out, go back in. Ten minutes later, she's crying up a storm again! We go out to check, and there's nothing wrong! She's standing in the open, staring at the house and bawling! I give her a good lecture on crying wolf, explaining that she will be put back in her pen, where she can cry all day, if she doesn't stop it. Five minutes back in side, she's at it again :he I tell the dog "She's only looking for attention from us, ya know". That crazy dog goes to the back slider, lays down, and watches her. She quits crying. I am wondering what just happened! The dog wanders back in where I'm at. Ice Cream starts bawling. I tell him she's looking for him again. I swear, the dog got up, sighed, and trotted back to the slider! Now I'm wondering if the dog has just been playing dumb, to lull me into a sense of security, until he's ready to take over the world some day!

Had the court hearing about the land contract yesterday. Had to wait until today to comment, as I was absolutely livid yesterday and it would've been a nasty post (although, I did PM somebody about it, who graciously took my rant in stride - thank you for that!). We are going to trial. I lost my temper. DH was actually pretty calm. I think he gets freaked out in a court room (flashbacks of his wilder days, maybe ;) ). I hate liars. I can't tolerate people who cry 'poor me', all the while taking advantage of hard working folks. I lost it. Nothing got resolved. We have to go to trial. They, no doubt, will be able to afford an attorney. We will not. I have been to court many times representing myself (what is that they say about having a fool for a client? :D ), thanks to my filthy rich but totally insane ex. I started preparing right after we left the courthouse. I think DH is freaking out. I am too mad to be afraid!

The weird weather caused my asparagus to stop producing, so I broke down and bought some locally grown stuff and gobbled it ALL up for dinner last night! :drool It was soooo good! I love grilled asparagus!
