Cindi - I did make him do ALL of them - My guess is, it's the last time he shows off his great work to me! But hey sure look nice
I told him the potatoes would turn out great IN the stove Deb, and he just gave me that weird, city boy look of his like I've lost my mind
He is, at this moment, trying to run electric to the island. All I've heard from him is "I must REALLY love you!" which tells me it isn't going so well
I'm going to chime in on the tile backsplash SSD its beautiful and the fact that you used both tiles gives it a very customized look. DH and I own a flooring store and we pay our subcontractors $10 to $12 a square foot to install tile and listello borders on walls and backsplashes so add up the savings. Job well done
Thanks for the compliments! DH reminds me (all too frequently!) that he is a bridge builder, not a finish carpenter/tiler/flooring installer/etc/etc I keep telling him that, if he doesn't like doing it, he shouldn't do such nice work! Then, I wouldn't ask him to do anything around here any more!!
Well, I survived the trip to pick up my sister(she decided to come by train, from TX, for a two week visit). Why the woman chooses to show up during the worst snow storm of the year, instead of during the summer (when my brother isn't so busy with work and I am more willing to drive ) is beyond me. I was pushing 6 inches of snow on the unplowed roads in my beast to meet up with my brother, we drove 2 hours (it's normally a 1 hour drive) on unplowed expressway to get her, then had to listen to her non-stop chatter all the way back I swear, she NEVER stops talking!! My brother and I are quiet people, so the constant chatter was rough. At one point, bro leaned over and said "I knew I should've prepared better for this trip. 5 or 6 stiff drinks probably would've done it" Shoveled off 4 more inches of snow that had collected on my truck while we were gone, and pushed 10-12 inches of heavy wet stuff all the way home! At one point, some crazy guy forced me off the road - he was driving right down the center of the road and flat out refused to move over! If I'd had more than PL & PD on my beast, I would've stayed put and let him buy me a new beast After I got past him, I saw by his tire tracks that he HAD moved over - he HAD been in MY 'lane' for most of his trip down that stretch of road! Got home, jumped out of my truck, and sunk almost to my knees in snow - the dog tried to come out and greet me, but decided to wait until I made my way to the door instead Yesterday, after the snow plows made a few passes, we dug ourselves out. Ah, winter in Michigan!
Now, my sister is wondering when I'm going to come get her from my brother's house and drive her all over the place to visit people I hardly know...Hmmmm...how about this Spring?
She would have bothered me as well. I can't stand to have someone talk at me non-stop. Sometimes hubby will do that. At least I can tell him to shut up. And, my son will do it almost every time I see him!
