Can't wait to read your goat adventures! My cell is back up and running now, btw. New one. Old one is kaput. I have some powerful tinkle, apparently...
I am so glad I can still carry my little goats and they are still so snugly.
I was really glad when I was able to drop the midday bottle. I know I kept mine on longer than recommended, but I figured they needed it. They were so small and if they were with a momma, they'd get to eat more often than 2x per day. Now I am beginning to wean them, since they are 8 weeks old. They are eating well and they don't always finish the bottle, so I think they are ready. I will take my time with it though.
I love it when Blossom comes and stands next to me rubbing her head against my leg. Then Flower comes bounding over and jumps into my arms, right over Blossom. Then she sees SO and skip-hops-runs to him, baaa-ing the whole time
I can't imagine holding Peach at 8 weeks....she will be HUGE! I need to find a way to weigh her. I wonder if she will come into the garage with Ginger so I can step on a scale with her in my arms.....
I have been handling my little doelings that way too. And they too assume the "position"
Nice that you are finally getting a full night's sleep. I put one of our brahma hens in with Flower tonight, I am hoping it'll help. I am going to check on her in a few minutes.
