Do you run your own fecals?
And when you're doing Molly's Herbal deworming do you have to discard the milk for a period of time?
Obviously I have much reading to do.....

Sorry, totally hijacking your thread here.....
So I'm reading on Fiasco's site about doing your own fecals. I did them when I worked for the vet clinic and I'm totally capable. It's that microscope issue I'd need to work out....

Hmmm, could justify it if I could also do fecals on our other animals.
DS could use it for home science projects. This really isn't unreasonable considering all the animals we have, the small child...... hmmmmmmmmmmm.........

So if you were shopping for a student model microscope would it make a difference if it were electric or battery operated?

Most microscopes are not electrical at all! They have a mirror at the bottom to direct the needed light up through the slide and the optics to the eye piece. Sun power is usually hard to beat but if you work inside just about any reasonably strong light source works.
