Gotcha! Now please, I would like to hear about any success you have had recently, big or small.

I got my hens laying again with artificial lighting. Dad hardwired a new light with a timer in my coop, and a week later, the eggs started to appear again. Less than three weeks later, 6-8 a day! Yippee! I have a carton to sell with plenty left for us, finally!

A client who left me due to finances is coming back. Her dh called today to purchase 6 gift certificates for her, to get her back into taking care of herself. I really like her, too, so it is a treat for me as well!

My new dog is getting along with my older dog! Woohoo! The old guy is finally established as top dog again, peace reigns! He actually did something very cute last night....pretended he wanted to go outside, then stopped and let the youngster go out ahead....then turned around and went back in. When I closed the door, he did his happy dance all over me....it was so obvious he'd done it on purpose to have me all to himself. Then he tried to prevent the little guy from coming back in. It gave us all giggle fits!

OK, you get the idea. Now start typing. That's an order. :D

My 16 yr old came home from school, pulled out a cutting board and an assortment of veggies... sliced them all up and asked "mom, how many servings of veggies is this?" :love so proud!

My youngest turned 18 yesterday..... :(

And, against all dire predictions from evil relatives~he hasn't been in jail yet! :D

Actually, his job in the Nat'l Guards will be a military policeman and he wants to go to college for Criminal Justice. How's that for irony? :p

Nice! Ahhhh....now doesn't that feel good? I feel great now! Thank you so much!!!

More?

My older dog killed a rat tonight, and Mya's milk production is up with the new hay. I will need to start freezing some for when she is dried off, and there should be plenty. Woohoo!

This is going to be a stretch for me but I finally worked up enough nerve to clip two of my old dog's nails. She had such arthritis that her feet look like a bag of marbles and she has always hated to have her nails clipped. The screams- the running away if she saw the clippers in my hand. the dirty looks. She has me totally guilted out.
But she was limping more than usual and I thought that it might be her nails were too long and putting pressure on her owie joints. I kept thinking I would take her to the vet and see if they could put her under- TO CLIP HER NAILS for pete's sake.
But I took the clippers and after rubbing her tummy, just got one and snipped. No blood! One a day. Did the second today.

kthxbai back at ya! And that is Klingon for.....?

I am too chicken to clip my dogs nails. I am learning to trim my goat's feet, though, and also clipped all of Biscuit, the new pooch, except his face, which I paid the groomer to do for me. I may just get the courage from all your successes to give it a try!

I finally got to feed my own sheep yesterday and they seemed really glad to see me! :)

The boys have been feeding for me lately due to my leaving early and getting home late...they tell me the sheep are pretty scared of them and flighty acting.

They actually jumped the fence~even the calf~ the other day when my middle son was feeding...the boys had a hard time getting them back in.

When they saw me get out of the truck they ran to the gate and stood up for Mom kisses! :D They each touched noses with me and seemed happy I was back in the herd, if only briefly.

When I go out in my back yard, all the animals follow me....I look like Noah's wife~two dogs, two cats, two sheep, Two Bites.......
