Amen! what really struck me was i am NOT the type to be okay with being late...but that afternoon I was fine with having to wait for fuel. I knew the passengers in one of the vehicles too :(

That is pretty cool guys! I can't recall any experiences like that being physically touched, but circumstances rearranged...I have been assured several times. The last being 2 years ago. I was headed to serve for a local fellowship and needed to stop and get gas. I pulled in and the pumps weren't working so I went in to prepay figuring that was the issue...the pumps were broken but expected to be back up and functioning any minute. It took about 5 but I was patient. I got my fuel and left. As I came up to the levy going into the town where I was supposed to serve I came up on a wreck. The cops had just pulled onto the scene from over the bridge about 5 miles away. The wreck had happened right about the time I was getting held up. That accident killed several people. One deceased lady was being cut out of her SUV as we detoured around through a parking lot. That really shook me up, but comforted me at the same time. I pulled over for a few minutes and prayed for the families and the survivors who were pretty badly injured. It had been a head on collision where the vehicle the deceased driver was in came over into the lane that would have been mine and smashed into another SUV.
I'm on the road alot with the workday drive I have. I wonder about this stuff, particularly when something out of the ordinary happens in the morning at home that causes me to leave extra early or extra late. 1 or 2 times a year, I miss something major like this. I talked to a pastor at one the churches we used to go to about it and he brushed it off as coincidence. ? (not because of that, but we don't go there any more).

Well it is my personal belief that God DOES in fact watch over our every move and protect us. That just wasn't my time, and He held me up. I'm thankful for that and KNOW who gets the glory for all the seemingly "little things" that keep us safe from harm. Coincidence? I don't believe in coincidences.

I know he does. I can feel his presence when I need strenght or need him. He always there. I dont believe in them either, everything happens for a reason.

Thanks, guys, I needed to be reminded of this tonight. It's now about what we (or those around) want or think we/they want, it's what's in The Plan for us.

In the past few years I have had one after another of what other people would call coincidence. I have come to believe that there are no such things as coincidence. The things that have happened to me and my family have been so carefully worked out that it could only have been orchestrated....one would have to take great leaps in one's reasoning to think they were anything but a plan.

I see God's plan for me in nearly everything that happens now....I guess now I notice it more because I've become attuned to actually expecting it and looking for it. I have become rather fond of knowing, without a shadow of a doubt, that someone loves me and is making a plan just for me. It gives me the warm fuzzies all over!

I know ya'll have all heard me talk about the tornado that took our house. He was with us that night, there is NO DOUBT. I had just got home with the kids from the store and had no clue anything was coming. It had been unusually warm and humid all day and there were thunderstorms predicted. Dad called to let me know there was supposed to be severe weather about 15 min before we got home. Right as we got home the electricity went out. I tried to call dh and my cell wouldn't work. By then I am wondering what is going on. It was getting dark and the clouds were looking kinda ominous. So I decide that I would just go meet dh at his work since he would be getting off soon. The kids and I got back in the car and about a half mile down the road the trees start whipping. As we reached our nearest neighbor I saw her streetlight blinking on and off. The only thought I had as I turned into her drive was "why does she have electricity and not me?" You guy have to understand that this lady was a wonderful person when not high or staggering drunk. I had only ever seen her not staggering drunk maybe twice. So we really never went to visit unless we met her in the yard while riding horses or something. I still don't know why I stopped there other than the blinking light got my attention. As I pulled in it started raining buckets. She ran out in the rain and snatched the pasenger's door open and started snatching kids out of the vehicle and screamed to me to get the baby and get inside while she took the two older ones in. At this point I still had no idea that a tornado was on the ground. I stayed at her house about 15 minutes until the storm passed and my cell started working again. I got in touch with dh and he told me that a tornado had hit town. I thanked our neighbor and went to go home. There was not a single tree down all the way home until I reached our place and when I turned to pull in there was NOTHING there where our mobile home had been and huge pine trees were down everywhere. The tornado had also crossed further down our road and again on the main road. If I had gone on to meet dh there is a very good chance I would have driven straight into it. And if I had stayed home we would all more than likely have been killed. Our mobile home was wrapped around an oak tree in a U-shape where it had bent the frame and all and the rest of it was layed out like and open box.
That tornado was also one of the biggest in Arkansas history.

I believe that there was an angel with us guiding us that night and there were soo many human angels that showed up afterwords with hot meals during the cleanup or just offering a helping hand. There were people I had never met coming up and asking what we needed or what they could do to help. It was truly amazing.
