Wanna....when teens get me down, I smile and say "kids are dumb"

That reminds me that they are not yet mentally developed (which is fact and we as parents often forget) but it is also fun to say, and makes me smile.

Try it..........KIDS ARE DUMB!

Amen!
Yeah I do tend to forget that too. She's nearly as big as I am, but so utterly stupid sometimes. There, yeah that DOES feel better  Thanks sis :hugs

On another note, another prayer request....the thunder clap that woke me the other night, that shook MY entire house from foundation to roof, hit the new neighbors home :( It is so badly damaged they are in a hotel room and will be for some time. The house is barely over a year old and everything will have to be ripped out and replaced. It struck the top floor and travelled down to the fusebox, blew the cover outward, and blew all the porch lights, security lights, etc. completely out of the structure, the entire fixtures were blown out, and blown apart. Just last week they put the house on the market to sell and move closer to their church. They are devastated and I am devastated for them. They are such a great family. Please be in prayer for the Foster family. Living and homeschooling in a tiny hotel room is going to be difficult over the next several MONTHS to say the least. I have offered them free reign of my house and offered to feed & water their horses and dogs and keep an eye on the place, but well...there's no place like home. I can imagine only because we lived in hotel rooms so often with DH on jobs, but they aren't used to the confined atmosphere at all, never had to live like that, and I just feel SO BAD for them!

Weird I got Pastor/teacher, Teaching, and tied in knowledge and discernment
I got Administration, Helps, and Discernment. :/
Now WHY is that :/ ? I think it suits you well. ;)
You're probably right. My :/ was because I like to think of myself as a creative guy. At the previous church we attended, I helped pull together a renovation of a small education building. I had more fun on the creative side than I did the admin stuff (lining up the work in the proper order, making sure the right material got purchased, and we stayed under budget). I was challenging decorating ideas constructively and making them better. I even made coat hangers for the nursery were I put the hooks on hand-painted wooden cutouts of pairs of animals one afternoon.

I guess I don't give myself enough credit. You don't often hear storied of people changing their life to something better because the walls got painted on schedule. :D

Well brother, just remember this, these particular traits are our STRENGTHS, that does not automatically make the rest our weaknesses. Lots of folks are well rounded and can do many many of these things and do them well, but certain ones are where our God given talents generally really shine through. They may not be the ones we prefer necessarily. I can see you having many of these, and myself, and others I see having many of these gifts. We don't have to focus only on our strengths though, God can make us shine as individuals even in our weakest moments and worst positions ;) It's what he does best! Glad He's my daddy!

That test was really interesting. I was a little surprised at some of the results.

My highest scores were discernment, helps, and mercy. Things I actually do more often (admittedly sometimes because no one else will do them) I scored lower in. But I think the discernment surprised me.

LOL I'm surprised faith wasn't higher, since I pretty much LIVE on faith, both financially and emotionally. And am usually pretty happy in doing it, though outward appearances do NOT look good on either front. Oh well. :) God IS good. :)

Eta: our Bible study for months has been on this topic, but mostly we are just studying the gifts and not identifying them. There is supposed to be a test at the end, and last week we talked about how to identify them.

:ya

I just love hearing how God has blessed us each wi such different gifts!
Isn't it amazing how if we all came together in one community, in real life, our gifts would compliment each other so much?

Barred.....you know we love you but come on, are you dumb sometimes? Maybe just once in a blue moon?
