I could use some prayers for patience and tolerance myself. I'm hitting a REALLY rough spot, and trying to maintain
some peace in the midst of a war I don't even want a part in, but am currently stuck in. *sigh* Teenager mess, everybody probably can understand that, I'd rather not go into details. Nothing horrible, just a bunch of drama. I could use a rock to crawl uner for a couple years while she "grows out" of it :fl

Praying for ya Deb, and Jamie's requests, and Farmfresh!
:hugs to all of ya! :love
Thanks, Cindi, from my PM, I think you know who I'm talking about. ;)

I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift - to make you strong

Ironically that was our topic in church this week. We are discussing spiritual gifts, what they are, how to indentify yours and finally how to use it.

I thought that I would share this as a good conversation starter, since things have slowed down here :)

This is a 100 question quiz to help you to identify what your spritual gift is.

My top three (in order) are Fatih, Giving and Mercy. Not quite sure how to best use the #1 Faith, except for my own internal peace. How does one share that?
How does one share that? Faith is a shining example to others who may be struggling. Faith is praying for others when they may not have faith enough to do it for themselves. Of course you have your own inward faith, but faith is also very very evident outward as well. Faith will enable you to better show others how God has worked in your life, to lead by example, and SHOW(for us visual oriented folks)how He can work in theirs, just by simply using your own faith to witness to others when opportunity presents itself or just by remaining fatihful amidst some of your own cicumstances. Faith is a great tool to have!!! At some point in every Christians life it seems, they wish they had more faith. Moreso than any other gift I can think of off the top of my head, faith, is what most folks wish they had more of by a looooong shot. You are truly blessed :hugs

Weird I got Pastor/teacher, Teaching, and tied in knowledge and discernment as #3 I never thought of myself as a teacher...knowledge maybe because I study daily, discernment...yeah I got that at least HALF of the time  Teacher though? Ummm...I suddenly feel at a loss myself

FJ...good news on your DD! I hope she feels up to the fun :)

I love that you both took the test! Cool huh? I have been thinking about my faith all morning, I love your explanation Wanna :hugs

I think Pastor/Teacher does suit you....you are very well versed in the Bible and have a knack for explaining things. I know that you have certainly taught me a lot :thumbsup

FJ, I wish that I had more Discernment, I think that gift would really help you to steer yourself and those close to you away from certain things in life. I run from Admin stuff, really not my cup of tea at all but thank the Lord for those of you are blessed with that gift!

Dace I am humbled by your response :hugs I hope I know what I'm talking about  sometimes I wonder the way others respond at times. Guess the teenager thing has my confidence in myself kind of lacking these days. But, on that note, the test was a good reminder of what our strengths are and it REALLY made me feel a bit better in a strange way :hu Thanks for posting it :love You guys are great!

Wanna....when teens get me down, I smile and say "kids are dumb"

That reminds me that they are not yet mentally developed (which is fact and we as parents often forget) but it is also fun to say, and makes me smile.

Try it..........KIDS ARE DUMB!

Amen!
