:hide Hi everyone. May I come in and share? I read back about 5 pages. Read about the lost hen and the friend in the hospital and prayer request for the moles. I love the positive encouragement and I hope to check out this thread a time or two throughout the week. What really caught my eye was someone mentioning how prayer works for saving lost Turkeys....

Let me share a story... Last year, I was in a terrrible place.:somad We couldn't seem to make anything meet. My husband works his tail feathers off and we couldn't seem to have two nickels to rub together. :hu We purchased a 91 plymouth van and it soon was to be called the "S~van" for all the trouble it gave us. My then 4 year old daughter was at PT and it came time for taking her to her Neurology appointment... EXCEPT I had been talking with my dad about the trouble the s van was giving me at the moment. He told me to start it up in order to "diagnos" (why I can't spell that word now, IDK) :hu the problem. (he lives in NYS) the van wouldn't start and I noticed a whole pile of liquid OIL? no! Gasoline. scarey stuff. He told me to get that fixed right away...:ep Did I mention we didn't have two nickels? Anyway, since it only leaked while idle, we let it go until we could do something about it....

My husband's schedule changed and we only needed the s~van occasionally. We made it work... Fast forward to last week. I left the ignition in the "on" position of our better vehicle so we needed the S~van to jump start the battery. I happened to notice the gasoline absolutely gushing :hit out. It had to idle and it was "a gushin' " Using the s~van over the next couple of days and it was dripping. I smelled gasoline. S/O came up to me in the parking lot and asked if I smelled gasoline and could tell that it was me. I panicked. I prayed. Unfortunately, in that order. However, I did overcome the situation with a deep heartfelt prayer, bought the part and discussed with my husband the possibility that we let our trusted mechanic put the part on.

I took the s~van in Friday. while I originally asked if I could just leave it there....He ended up looking at it and...................

COULD NOT FIND THE LEAK! HE TIGHTENED A COUPLE OF CLAMPS JUST BECAUSE, CHARGED ME 10 DOLLARS AND I DROVE HOME! :thumbsup. The first time he came into the office and told me that he could not find it, I followed him to the lift and said, "Henry, do you believe God can heal cars like HE can heal people?"

SO, I ask.... or I tell you the truth... God is GREAT. He has "healed" my s~van! :woot I would be remiss, if I didn't share that story and sing HIs praises all the day long!

I so agree!!! I've had the same thing happen to my vehicles...self-healing, so to speak. Also the same thing with appliances and such. My mechanic is a Christian, so he understands, but most folks would agree that vehicles do not "heal". I believe that God can do anything, so I believe that He can seal a leak as easily as you or I take a breath.

Praise God and welcome, Laureli(what a beautiful name!), to our Bible study! Feel free to contribute any ol' time. :D I love stories about how God supports us in times when we need Him the most. I think many people out there are experiencing financial difficulties and stories such as yours helps renew their faith and restore their hope. :thumbsup

:bow :bow Praise God!!!! Ya know that's kinda where I am now. I am alone with 3 kids who are homeschooled and very little income. Since I have learned to put my trust in Him, He has taken care of me. I am still broke at the end of two weeks, but my bills are paid and anytime I've needed something important from a pair of shoes to propane He has taken care of it in miraculous ways! It's gotten where I just can't wait to see what He's going to do next!

Please pray He'll take care of this illness for me :( I am miserable right now but can't sleep because I slept all day already  And also, that this mess with Children's services will work itself out without much headache :/ We're waiting to know this week if we're approved as a certified foster home or not, and someone has called spouting rumors and it has highly upset everyone. Thanks in advance :hugs
