I will always dance naked in the rain for a fellow equine enthusiast. I hope she will be ok. My late husband never smoked and led a healthy life- they found his during a root canal in time and it didn't develop into full blown cancer.

Father we come before you and praise you for all that you give to us. Often we come and ask for your help, even in times when we have not visited you for so long. I ask you to bring comfort and your love to K as she needs you. I pray that the Holy Spirit may touch her heart so that she can see/feel your healing powers. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Proverbs 16:24
24 Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

Psalm 6:2
2 Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony.

Sept 4,

We have had a busy weekend so far. Worked on our yard all day yesterday. Tried to get the upper hand on some weeds. Next weekend is my Little ones 6th birthday. Going to have dh family over for dinner and b day cake.

I will have to do some house chores this week. My kitchen counter is buried in veggie. Then yesterday I went and picked 3 more buckets of pears. So I will be cleaning and canning at the same time.

It's funny as I sit here the sun is just barely up. I have a couple of Roo's stretching their lungs. Then every once in a while you can hear a muted low noise that resembles a roo. I think its my Freedom Rangers. They are doing well. Eating a ton. The boy are ready to go. I will not start processing until the 17. They should be fine until then. I have several folks who want to be here on butchering day. I really don't mind button have time to "entertain company" and butcher at the same time.

We will see.

Dh is building a swing set for 5yo birthday. We had a set from Cost Co for years it was beat and falling apart. So it got dismantled. I kept the slide, swings and hardware. So we a building a new A frame. the trampoline came down last month so we needed something. The only problem is I put my fall garden in the spot. So now I need a place to fit the swing set. With a long and narrow yard this could be a problem.

Garden is humming along. I hate admit I have ignored it the past couple days. I water but that's about it. I am a bit overwhelmed. But trudging on.

Well that's about it.

Prayers sent your way. I made a promise to myself that I am going to be done with the cigarettes by the end of the year. THe question is how to start quitting. Cold turkey hasn't worked for me so far, so I figured attacking it from a different angle is probably my best bet. Yesterday I wrote day every time I had a cigarette and figured out the general time span between them (not counting the aggravation stress cigarettes). Today, I am proud to announce that instead of one every one and a half hours or so I have forced myself to wait when I head outside to have a cigarette and not only have I only smoked one cigarette in four hours! I'm sure it will be a painful process but something I know I have to do for myself and my family.

Chin up about trudging along. One foot in front of the other gets you a long way! :hugs

Congrats on cutting back. Every bit will help. :hugs

Not sure how I managed it but I have a kink in my shoulder neck. Ugggg... I hop it loosens up as the day progresses.

Off to pick up beer grains this morning. I made a connection with a young man on CL. He brews once a month and gives the grains away free. So I set up a system where I take him 5 gallon buckets and he emails me when there ready. He about a 10 min drive from my house. Today I will get 2 buckets because of the holliday. One will even have pumpkin.

I also found an elderly woman on a jutting kick. She got a bucket also and is saving pulp and scraps for me.

Nothing like free feed.

Well, I managed to puree all of my tomatoes this morning and have a big pot on the stove. Will need to can those when I get back.

Im off.

Go big or go home!!!!!

Well that's the first thing that came to mind when I saw the frame to the new swing set. Dh wanted it to be big and sturdy so even my 11 yo son could swing. We used 12 ft 4x6 for the legs and the ridge beam is a 20 ft 4x8. So its huge.

After a bit of grunting and groaning and my 70 yo neighbor stopping by we managed the ridge beam. He must have thought we were building an ark. It takes up a huge chunk of real estate butt well worth it. The kids can't stay off of it. We need to buy one more swing and we will be good to go.

I will see if I can post a picture.
