Man OH MAN - do I ever wish I had a dumbwaiter!! <jealous>

My freezers are downstairs and so is the majority of my canning storage, so I have to go up and down the stairs (or send someone else to do it when I can't manage the steps) almost everyday. I would SO love to be able to load up a dumbwaiter with supplies enough for several meals. Navigate the steps once and bring it up to unload.

Hubby has even been informed that the next house we live in we WILL have one for sure. The day is coming closer and closer that steps are just not going to be an option for me. I hope we can move by then.
you know, they do have those lovely chairs that you can use to get up and down the stairs with :D :hide

I bet not our stairs!

We have 1928 ever so steep/ crack your head open at the bottom on the floor beam stairs. My son has offered "help" me down the stairs however, when he gets sassy with me. :ep

I had to re-read that to understand you meant the year 1928 and not 1, 928 stairs. Was trying to imagine how tall your house was to have that many stairs!

Hey all good to see you stopped by. :frow

I just sat on the porch for a minute to enjoy some cool afternoon shade and here you all are.

So I had some excitement today. The Life-lite helicopter landed across the street at my girls school.
I never saw an ambulance come to drop off. That worried me a bit but my phone never rang. Turns our another first grader in Sophias class fell off a swing and broke something. the story was a bit confusing with a broken leg a broken arm and blood but I'm sure it was a bit exaggerated. I just hope the poor kid is okay.

my dh just got a phone call from the old guy with a pear tree . He says we better come get the rest the birds are eating them. I already picked 3 buckets. I wonder how many more there are?

I managed to freeze 10 quarts of celery today. But then I had to fit it in the freezer. which led to taking everything out re organizing and then putting back in. Fun fun fun.

now I have a smoked ham in the oven and vegetables on the stove I suppose I will need to feed the family soon.

See you later.

No seizure.

I had posted a pic of my empty porch wondering where you all went. It wasn't that funny.

I sometimes have to check if something I've just said makes sense "outside my head". I think you just had one of those moments... I'm sure it was funny in your head.:D
