How cute!! My rottie is the BEST dog I have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sooooooooooo agree with you there. My last dog, Tank. Was amazing, I never felt alone, scared or worried, he was my best friend and protector. The first weekend I was home alone without him, I did not sleep at all.

With things the way they are I thought a good watch dog would be great. I just did not know when we would get one. Now I do!!!!

Welcome Toby!!! What a cutie!
We are hoping to have a puppy this spring or summer too! I'll write about the details in my own journal when I have a little more info.
Congrats on your new baby!

What a sweet face! Makes you soften up a bit when they give you that "what, did I do something wrong" look, like chewing the legs off of the coffee table or eating your favorite shoes! ;)

What a cuttie pie G, my Moms dog is a rottie also. Out of the three dogs, bear, moms dog is the only one allowed to stay inside. Bear is very mild tempered and is as lazy as dogs are.

Dads dog, harly, is a sheppard husky mix, thou my dad won't admit it, I think it has some jack russel in it as well, talk about hyper. Dad was in the Airforce during Nam and was an SP K-9 handler. When he started on the force he was a K-9 officer for 13 years, so he knows a lot about dogs. When my dad is around, harly is an angel, when he leaves, she just go nuts.

Their other dog is a boxer named Fred, he is the property watch dog and very loyal. He is a bit untrusting thou. he will run at you like he is going to attack you and then he will stop dead in his tracks 5 feet away from you.

Our pet dog, Peanut, is a very well trained home protection dog. We even have to pay higher home insurance premium because she has been proffessionally trained. She also has been taught to walk the kids to the bus stop and return home when they get on the bus. I have a video of my dog and daughter going to the bus stop, when my daughter gets on the bus, she comes right home.

I love dogs :love

He is so cute! I miss big dogs! I have a Pomeranian named Bubba :D. My DD was terrified of dogs when she was little, so we bought a little dog (one that would stay smaller than her) to help her get over her fears.

It worked, and I love him to pieces, but he is a yappy thing though it's getting better as time goes on.

I grew up with shepards and deeply miss them and want to get one in a few more years, though it may pose a problem with my insuance company.

DH wants a chow chow.
