VT Chicklet...you did a very good job describing the purpose behind the TEA parties...thank you. I feel that there is very little representation for the average American in Washington....once our representatives are elected and spend time in Washington, they seem to go through some metamorphasis into just another power hungry creature. Although, the ones from my state are closer to being true representatives..at least for now.

If you do send a message to the White House, do just send an empty tea bag, or the tag, or just a photo...it would be a sad waste of a postage stamp if they just threw it out!

If you send them anything, just mail them a piece of paper with the word TEA BAG on it. Any and everything else gets tossed.
I will be attend TWO TEA party's April 15. One in Ashland Ohio and the second one in downtown Mansfield.

When Glen Beck said that we were not alone and that we surrounded them, I was feeling very alone. He then started the 9/12 Project. I now realise that I am not alone in my belief that our Constitution is being circumvented and even ignored by our elected officials. I now see that there are many of us and our numbers are growing every day, as Americans wake up to the fact that their elected officials are selling votes to the highest bidder, with no thought toward the Constitution and what our founding fathers intended. I now feel empowered. There is power in numbers, and we will have our own lobbying group because of our large numbers. We Will No Longer Be Silent about the lack of concern shown by the legislators towards our Constitution!

Why didn't you guys figure all this out 5 years ago? Then we might not of had this mess we're in now. I didn't vote for Bush. Bush used the constitution as toilet paper. Always had a pile of copies sitting by the toilet.

If you are so concerned that 'Bush used The Constitution as toilet paper' then I absolutely can't understand why you would support Obama, who won't even use it - at all. The man is a dangerous front for a system that wants to destroy the United States from within and join it with the 'one world order' types around the world.

There needs to be another subject line added. It could be titled "Black Helicopters or Conspiracy Theories". All these criticisms and alleged supporting documentation are coming from right wing rags and mouthpieces that have one agenda (cause Obama to fail through lies and misinformation). I can't believe how many people buy in to this garbage.

As a moderator I can't tell you what I really think - suffice it to say I'll trust the black helicopters long before I trust Obama - and my sources are not all right-wing nutjobs, while yours all seem to be left leaning liberal loonies. Even the lamstream media is starting to wise up to his ways. Guess time will tell.

Now that we've once again established that we don't agree, let's continue the rational discussion.

Actually I will give the Republicans credit. I feel their leadership is wrong and is a bunch of wolves leading their sheep. But at least they make some noise when they are not getting their way. The Democrats just stood by and let Bush and his rubber stamp Congress trample them. I think Obama will prove you wrong in your thinking. I know for a fact that he knows a lot more about the Constitution than anyone on this line. He taught Constitutional law. Keep up the good fight but move the blinders aside once in a while to see where your heading.

These Tea Parties are demonstration in which some taxpayers want to participate. If they want to express themselves in this manner, why not let them? Liberals talk about free speech, but when people step up and exercise it in a way that is contrary to the liberal thought, the left starts throwing all kinds of language to demean and discourage those expressing themselves in a lawful manner.

Actions speak louder than words in both cases.
