today we started setting up for the seed swap on Monday. for a first time small event it looks nice.

i have some more work to do this weekend but at least i got the bulk of the work done that needed to be done. the rest is just frosting on the cake. :)

the first two pictures i took with my new digital camera back in spring of 2008. of course purple flowers and crocuses... i've had another used digital camera and then my most recent camera since then. time sure does go by fast. :)

i had this blade on a table and eventually i put some papers over it and then i rearranged the papers and somehow got the blade in between some papers. then one day in December i went to take the papers from my room to the recycle bin in the garage. as i took them to the garage the blade fell out and stuck in the floor and i did not hear it. i walked back in the house and went to my room and did not see the blade sticking upright in the floor until later on I went to go to the kitchen and I saw it. right away i told Mom about it and she came walking from her room into my room and managed to not disturb this blade standing upright in the floor and then i got pictures of it. i’m so glad we didn’t get hurt as those blades are pretty sharp. i still have that blade laying on my desk because i haven’t put it away yet - i need to put it in or on something else to protect it and us from it…

this morning i get up and am turning up the heat and i look down and see a potato chip on the floor. the floor is clean, the potootie chip will not go to waste. yum, the start of a Full English Breakfast (Keeping up Appearances reference and thus a joke around here). i was glad to not have stepped on it. Mom is still in bed at this point and we are talking but she won't get up until when she wants. i get a few dishes done and come back to my comfy warm roost to catch up on my things on-line.

a bit later Mom gets up and comments about me getting the dishes done (there weren't that many and i wanted warm water for something else so once the water is warm i might as well do the dishes) and then she says she's surprised i missed the potato chip on her chair. i don't usually look at the chair as i don't sit in it (it isn't comfortable at all to me, my butt hurts after about 5 minutes of sitting in it). she goes to get the potato chip and there's a Box Elder bug on it.

i tell her it could have had the one on the floor and not had to climb to get it. :) (i don't think she ate that one - i probably would have)...

Loved the bean pics. So many colors ☺️

Hope the seed swap goes well. Maybe take some overall pics of the event for us. Really have never seen or heard of one around here. Possibly are some, organized by some "gardening" groups. 🤷

Assuming the pics you posted are cups ready to go there. Do you give them the cup of, or what? Is it open to public? No idea of what/how 😂

it is posted on FB, i don't do FB, but you should be able to find it via the info given in the other post made to the For Sale etc forum. there were already some pictures taken on Friday, but that isn't my full set up yet on my table.

i hope no pics of me get on-line from this but it is likely to happen. oh well, it's ok if it does. :)

most things like beans i have pre-packaged and people can take them as they are. a few things i may only have the one container and so i will give samples from it. at for-sale events the prices i've done have been anywhere from $0.50 - $2.00 each depending upon what year. most the money i raise is spent on sending out samples by mail to those who'd like them. i'm not doing this as a business but as a hobby.

this event is a free give away event so i will enjoy it a lot more to not have to deal with money. i just hope enough people show up to have people to talk to, but even if they don't my gardening friends and one of the other people who will be there are good friends who like to talk gardens and whatever so it won't be a waste of time no matter what.

pretty much i'm hoping just one person shows up towards the end of the day who wants to take as much of they can from my table. :) the whole thing would be great.

except my bean collection boxes... those i won't give away, but will give samples to people who want things that might not be out on the table. which is why i bring them. even with that said i won't be able to bring everything as there is only so much room in the ride i'm getting.
