Okay, I give, I'm not cool enough to be a nerd. I'm just a dork!
DH can recite entire episodes of Monty Python. SIL runs her own fencing school. A friend who dresses up as US Grant for fun and entertainment can recite battle dates from the Civil War like I can my own cell phone number. I'm just boring.... :hide

henrietta, my uncle was in a fencing club when he was in university (for one of his degrees, not sure which). I suppose nerdyness runs in my family, my uncle Stephen (who i am named after) has several degrees and works for JPL in California as an infrared astronmer/navigator and teaches at a university (can't remember which, but its in Pasadena...? anyone?).

Anyone watch the short-lived series, "Life On Mars?" It was fantastic! I have the British version recorded and would love to see the American version from start to finish again, now that I know how it ends....

I have however, watched every episode of ST at LEAST once, most two or three times. Beam me up Scotty!
So totally started crying on that, my grandpa used to tell me that ALL the time and when he died I wanted to put that on his tombstone. I am saving up to get it redone, correctly, with his name then "beam me up scotty" after that :)

Hi, I am Brianna and I am a PONY nerd! Hence my nickname, which is what I was called in HS, MsPony :)

No seriously, I have everything my little pony! And well, everything pony. No more real pony, sold one, gave back another and traded them in for a big thoroughbred. Ugh. I am going through pony withdrawls.

I am also a reptile nerd, I even have clothing with tarantulas on it :D Me and my coworker(s) are known for driving 3-4 hours to San Diego just for a reptile store. We spend an hour there, then walk out with armfuls of stuff and huge smiles.

After my grandpa died, I watched Star Trek for weeks on end, with Eureka added in. Without breaks. It was very comforting, and I still consider myself a Star Trek nerd.

I am a book nerd, I rarely read them, but I have books upon books upon books.

Pony affectionato here as well! The real kind. Never understood people wanting big huge horses when a "compact" will do all of the work for less money! All of that AND I am 5'9" tall! We have had POA's and other ponies my whole life.

Without Red Dwarf I wouldn't have been able to add interesting phrases like "smeghead" to my vocabulary.

Cal Tech.

I thought I was just an HP fan, not really a nerd -- and then we went to Universal Orlando, where they have the new Harry Potter section of the park. I was so stupid-excited about the whole thing that I now know I am over the edge. Butterbeer, Honeydukes, Zonko's, the Hog's Head, the owl post, Ollivander's...wow. I have never dressed up (and never will), but I did go to a midnight release for the final book (which was really fun) and will probably do a midnight release for one of the final movies. DD is also a fan, so I use her as an excuse to do such things. :)

So I'll admit it -- I'm a nerd. :p
