I agree! Sounds like a great read!!

I was also thinking you should do a children's series. :) Something for young teen girls (or boys) and also something for even younger children. My 13 yo daughter (like all the rest of us) loves the Little House books and she re-reads them all the time. She is also reading a book called Schooled about a boy who was home schooled by a hippy-mom-mother-earth type.

Bee, that is completely awesome, both the title and the description.

I love the empowered woman in all her forms. We need more books like this, and you are the one to write it, that's for sure.

Now, I have to go clean the kitchen, wash the sheets, dehydrate some peppers, figure out why the chainsaw jammed, and assemble my new rototiller. Then I may do my nails.

Do us proud, sweetie !!!!!

Sally, i have been trying for a lot of years. Because of the ADD, I have maybe 25 to 30 Chapter 1's. But thanks for saying that!

I do volunteer work for a local charity which helps connect people with needs with those who can help them. I am working on a project for them right now, writing a syllabus on ways to save money and find alternative ways of doing things so the client can get themselves out of the hole they are in. We will help them get their immediate need met, but then will "teach them how to fish". So, that's a nice short and focused project that I may just have the ability to finish !!!

You know what would be really neat? If we all would write a chapter of a book about SS and collaborate it into a book? Sort of a Foxfire for the modern world? How cool would that be? Anyone can write one chapter, huh? For all of us ADD folks, one chapter of how we feel about it, what we learned so far, why we feel it's important. A woman's shout out to all the other dreamers out there.... :)

Man, am I glad you all like the title...wasn't sure if anyone would get the catch to it. Sort of making fun of hillbillies by using the word but also letting the city folks know that we have a wisdom and intelligence all our own that belies the negative connotation of "hillbilly". Or something of that nature..... :D

Hey....got a new fortune today in a cookie....get this!

"You are capable, competent, creative, careful. Prove it. :) "

I am taking this one as a sign too...... :p

So.....what are we gonna call our SS woman's book?

I would love to see my hubby have to walk in my shoes for just one day. That would be funny!!
Be careful what you wish for!

Several years back there was a major wreck on our street, a woman (who knows why) lost control of her vehicle and ran into a guy wire on a street light pole and ROLLED her car! Everyone ended up being all right, but she had a grandchild in a car seat (thank goodness) that was dangling upside down in the back seat. We heard the crash and my hubby grabbed shoes by the door and went running outside to help if necessary. Then he ended up standing outside on the sidewalk talking to neighbors for quite a while while the police came and the wreck was cleaned up.

Yes there was my manly man standing on the sidewalk wearing holey maroon sweatpants, a black T-shirt and MY wedgie mules!! :ep

He hadn't even realized which shoes he grabbed until he came back inside. I hope the neighbors don't talk. :hide
