I have heard that a potato makes an effective, temporary, edible silencer for a .22 rifle or semi-auto pistol.
At least that's what I have heard. ;)
No experience at all, right ;)

trap them, haul them off, call animal control, or even shoot them.... but please please don't use anti-freeze. It is a horrible death and it isn't the cats fault people are morons. :(

There's actually a kickin' product I can send you, I believe its by Kaysomething or other? Cats don't even want to go in the room, and they have outdoor repellent as well. Ill double check the brand tomorrow, maybe you can find it on amazon :)

Also call AC...those cats need to trapped and spayed/neutered then they release them back...no more babies!! Just say their feral ;)

Cats are not attracted to sweets generally, so antifreeze is not an option. I am not going to kill these cats. I don't want to kill the cats. I only asked for something that would keep them from peeing on my house. As I already stated, most of them belong to the neighbors. They are not feral. I don't need a bunch of ticked off neighbors, and I don't think it would be a very nice thing to do to begin with.

Thanks for the chicken wire idea. That is definitely an option. That's more like what I was thinking.

Curious now what the product is, or at least what's in it. Essential oils are said to be potentially dangerous for cats and I don't use them on my cats or their areas. If I happen to get them on my hands, the cats usually come to sniff and then have a completely disgusted look on their faces and run away. They won't even come in the room if I open a bottle of tea tree oil.

I'm sure different oils would have different effects, but it's not something I ever did to them intentionally so I can't say for sure. Mine do hate tea tree though!

Just a caution about the mothballs - using them to cover up the spray smell might work (but then everything would smell of mothballs :sick), but please try not to put them anywhere where a cat could be confined with them; they, including the fumes, are toxic.
I remember reading somewhere, I think, that cats dislike the smell of citrus. I can't say that I've noticed my cats avoiding me when I eat an orange, but then I had no reason to pay attention to their reaction.

Lambert-Kay! They make Boundary which is *amazing* and we have the best success with it.

Oh also you have to take their stink away first. I like Petastic (Natures Miracle splt up, the new recipe is Petastic) but they are changing company name to Earth Friendly Product? Eco Spray? Agh!

And I'm happy to send these products if you can't find them :)
