I forgot to cover greenhouse domes until hours after dark - 9:30 p.m. greenhouse temp was 41.
This morning its 43. Its gaining a couple degrees from the ground/patio block. Good to know.

I had to go to town this morning while it was still below freezing. I didn't get home until noon. The sun had come out and the greenhouse was 106°F.I forgot to cover greenhouse domes until hours after dark - 9:30 p.m. greenhouse temp was 41.

I got one like this at Menards for under $15 for the chicken coop.
I am learning from.you, as I hope to have some sort of winter greenhouse next year, even if tiny! Thanks for keeping us updated.

If you can't get a greenhouse up, you can do minis with the basement access covers they sell at big box stores. Even good as covers for a raised bed next to house foundation. I have a couple shower slider doors that were free and I've used to cover both plant and brooder boxes! They're framed and have a handle....could be used as part of a cheapie greenhouse build, as with old windows.
