Brainstorming. I have mice in my stove that are wreaking havoc with the wires. I will need to replace the stove.

However, I don't want to just discard the old stove and I'm trying to think of ways it could be reused.

First idea is to use it in the outdoor kitchen I'm building. Can it be used as the core of a wood fired oven? Other ideas?

I appreciate the suggestion. It would definitely be a workspace of some kind. Another thought was to use the inner liner as the shell for my insulated cabinet. (Put hot stuff in to keep it hot, ice for cold).

Just brainstorming at the moment.

Rewire it.
That is definitely an option, but after kitchen fires and an almost (that's how I figured out it was mouse damage, then yesterday I actually saw one run down inside) I'm thinking this might be a good time to make some adjustments. There's only me. I already removed the microwave because my canner wouldn't fit on the stove under it. I can make that spot into more counter space, buy a two burner plug-in and a countertop oven and have the same functionality. Both relatively portable if I need more counter space, and eliminate both the mouse hotel under the burners and the one under the stove itself.
