I take it you are gluten intolerant? :hugs I'm glad I am not- I'm not sure I would have anything I like to eat!

What about amaranth? I got seeds to grow this year to experiment with amaranth flour- and the flowers are pretty and the greens are, apparently, edible. I'm not gluten intolerant, but ITSHTF I'd want something to make carbs for winter, and I don't have enough land (or time) to grow wheat.

Amaranth is more than ok :) I actually plan on growing it here as well, for the flour and cause it's purty :D

So, if the world is going to end why am I fighting over recycling? I quit. I've had it. It's not worth it. If I don't recycle a can or a piece of junk mail it won't make any difference to the end of the world anyway, so what is the point.

I am going to just be a good American Consumer and buy and throw away since that's what our government wants us to do anyway. It isn't worth fighting over any more.

:he :barnie :rant :duc :tongue

*sigh*
I guess I am tired- Daylight Savings makes me feel jet lagged for days.

I am tired of fishing glass jars and plastic bottles and catalogs out of the trash to try to get them into the recycling bins. The town moved our recycling containers and I haven't found them yet so what I have to recycle is taking over our mud room/entryway. My daughter was in New England (from CO) for a couple of days and wanted to drive up and see us for just a couple of hours. You'd have thought we were expecting a visit from the Queen.

This is the same 14 year old and up (she is 27 now) that my SO helped raise through a terrible (horrible!) teenager. All of a sudden we had to make an impression on her. The one who we couldn't open the bedroom door for all the crap on the floor. The one who thought it was a better idea to buy new underwear rather than wash laundry when she got her own paying job.

It was nice seeing her, but the drama over "cleaning up the house before she arrives" was just too much for me.
