yea I couldn't plan that far ahead either Gina but now with unloading the animals it has opened up a life for me hahaha

we were always 2-3 day warriors, now without farming I can actually plan a full week in advance. WOW I feel priviledged lol

yea clean that camper, then get it dirty again...hmmm...ours lives is just that. clean then dirt, clean than dirt yikes we must be nuts!

I know you will have a blast in the desert. BOY I can't wait to get out your way camping. I read on my RV forum a post that said they were getting bored and planned to hit the hoover dam, yellowstone, grand canyon and some other sites. I thought, wow, to just fill up the tank and GO GO GO for however long. gosh it must be sweet I got jealous :p

Are you completely out of goats now? This is my last year for doing alpaca birthing so that will free up a lot of time for me but I will still have the goats and the few alpacas that I own. But my plan is to be out of alpacas in 2 years. I still love the goats even though they take a lot of time. I'm working on figuring out what I can do to shorten the chores. I do too much cleaning and probably need to let go a little.

We've taken to planning staycations more. We love camping and some friends of ours do too so we go to local campgrounds where we can still come home once a day or so.

Luckily I have a friend who used to be a vet tech and is now currently living with her parents so she welcomes the opportunity to house/farm sit if we ever go out on longer vacations.

Good luck with all yours this year FC! Sounds like it's going to be a blast!

We're looking forward to tent camping this year too....there is already a great campsite (thanks to our neighbors....gotta love the good family members) right next to the pond down behind the house. Totally out of site of the house but within 5-10 minutes walking distance of the house so if the kids get spooked we just walk back home :p We can wake up in the morning and start fishing and there is a great fire pit there too made out of a barrel that was cut in half and buried in the ground. Our neighbor just bought the 20 acres of land directly in behind his house too and is putting in lots of walking trails back there so that will be great too.

We want to travel eventually but I don't think that will come for YEARS....

Give Nicole a hug for me! I hope she makes her swimming day tomorrow!

Nicole so sick yesterday...tons of puking....but better this morning.
She fell asleep at 5 pm and slept til 7 this morning...woke up fine so far. No school, she is sad cause she will miss her Swim Day at YMCA but she said to me, oh well there will be one next year haha So many kids sick at her school right now so I decided to keep her home one more day.

Fixed a big breakfast. Never during the week but today was the exception. Tony had the big old bacon and egg sandwich, Nicole ate 4 pieces of bacon and alot of milk, I had a cheese omlete, bacon and 1/2 mini bagel (OMG I love those mini bagels lol)

Nicole and Tony will eat again (they seem to always eat) but I will hold off til dinner...and I don't have a clue yet what that will be LOL
some kind of chicken I am sure haha

In a mood to buy some crap...so off to Walmart in a few.

I need a new screen tent for camping. Stupid horrendous storm at our last vacation blew ours apart. Not sure if WM has what I need, but will check...might have to hit my other camping store.

I feel like buying an expensive toy for Nicole--I get that itch LOL

Tony, I won't let him buy anything HA HA well maybe something for hunting....but he always wants the dumbest stuff lol well of no interest to me anyway :p

gotta deal with the goats in a minute and take that stupid muttley out. he is a royal pain...STILL all I can do to not drop kick him to the pound haha gotta be careful feeding him, little bugger is getting a gut

Sunny, beautiful, wonderful outside but chilly....chilly I can handle

wa hoo a good day for me !!

everyone have a great one too

Glad to hear your day is starting out good!

Have fun at Wally World. There's always something there - we bought our camping screen house from there years ago..it's held up very well, but I think by next year we'll need to invest in a new one too.

We got lucky 2 years ago and found a set of 3 tents for $80. They all connect with zippered tunnels so if we wanted to everyone could have their own rooms! The side tents are 2 man tents and the middle one sleeps 4. Hubby seriously cheated last summer and ran an extension cord to the outlet on the outside of the house and put a lamp and portable DVD player in there. Cheater!

Sometimes you can find decent stuff at Wally world....if you can deal with all the other stupidity in that store.

I've seen those tents. If they had had that kind of tent when our kids were little, I would have gotten it. That way, the kids could have had their own "rooms", but would have still been in w/us.

No not completely out of goats. I have 12 left that I am going to let die here on the farm. Just pets out of the hundreds I have over the years. We kept 2 larger heifer Black Angus. Totally out of hogs now.
Not a chicken left on the farm! :)

I want my riding back. After my last horse passed, I miss riding so much. I started "farm life" to have horses and enjoy life...then I moved into a business of real farming and it took all my time over the last 15 years.

Done now had enough time for relax, quiet, less stress, get that horse and have a blast LOL
