nothing much doing

heading over to Mom and Dads at the lake in a while. just to mess around and relax. Nicole loves going over and goofing off.
My Dad takes her down the basement and they "do projects" last one was they made a few small boats and painted them for the lake.


usual few chores and then I am not doing much today either!

I got the car cleaned but not vacuumed yesterday so this afternoon if there is no rain I will finish that job....other than that, nope, not much



oh I love to relax!

Nicole was supposed to be off from school for Pres Day---but it is a makeup snow day ---WA HOO! I love school! So off she goes in just a bit



monday

all I have to do is run a soap order down to the post office and get some new boxes for shipping.

I am getting unbelievable amt of emails from Charlotte market customers....all wanting sausage and soaps. Soaps I can do, all hogs are gone. Again, so hard to tell them we shut the farm down...ugh
but most are cool about it and still ordering soaps cause they love them so much!


hmmm--what to do today? other than normal chores like laundry not anything else I have to do.......(laundry--ugh, I do tons it seems)

I guess I will get in the car and go to Lowes and buy a damn good can of paint for the bathroom. I can not live with that color lol those few patches I did on the wall are growing uglier every day hahaha
I need to get this bathroom done now before it gets beautiful outside...once nice outside I will never be inside lol

took mutt to Mom and Dads yesterday. 3 pukes in the car on the way up and 1 puke coming back. OH BOY and this is going camping with us??? at least I had 4 towels in the car for just this problem lol not alot of puke cause I didn't feed him but still ya know.

I guess the vet can give him a pill for travelling?? have no idea. will ask next trip to the vet. Moms is a 1/2 hr drive....what about a 5-6 hr drive to the beach...omg!


WOW I love having nothing to do....well I don't have nothing to do but my time sure is my own with all those animals gone from the farm --WOW can't wait til I can spend the day lounging at the pool and truly have nothing to do but relax. Never thought I would see these days haha


well off I go to get moving and get this day into gear

got my new paint

love it

light blue/grey/green whatever color but it works for me lol

painted most of the day, baseboards, etc. now the big roller work tomorrow and should be done. thank goodness bathrooms are not huge rooms

omg paint makes a room so new and fresh I love paint!

no it was a $20 can of paint THIS TIME I did take my time to match up my original signature color but guess what I now have $40 into paint so duh, if I just did it right the first time HA HA HA

Darn good Tuesday


am getting back just under $6K from taxes

but darn, hoping for just over $6K like last year WEE and to all those threads about don't give the govt. a dime over minimum taxes, blah. I got money back as usual that I knew was a great savings. honestly, this is the way to go (well for me, of course, not everyone) lol



I love money!





not much doing, nice day but cloudy. warm but not warm (ya'll know this kind of day)




Barb wanted me to go with her this morn to ride a horse she liked. Could not go had to meet a store customer for soap order darn it............but that horse had never been out of a round pen, hell it wouldn't go straight haha not for her but good size and pretty........but good size and pretty don't make a good horse lol

well now I am thinking horse again.......but next spring. not now, a few things to get done this year (cause I got the time) and then boom, mama is going to relax again, ride, live life and have fun while she can lol


getting call on people wanting eggs and sausage. ugh got tons of customers to tell the farm is closed....guess this will go on a long time?? good in a way but bad ya know lol


gave stink dog a bath. that pukey day got on his feet...yea he was "just stinky" so now he is clean but wasn't happy........but it made me happy so screw him :bun



I am happy today. All fine, all good. Spring coming and life is great. gotta count the blessing here wa HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just curious, is it that the horse wouldn't go straight, or that the rider was off balance? I've been going to a series of lectures this winter on riding, and it's been a real eye opener. One thing I learned is that the majority of people don't sit straight in the saddle, and since a horse moves under the rider's weight to keep their balance, it looks like the horse can't go straight when they're actually doing what the rider told them to do. (Not that I'm saying this is the case here, just a thought.)

no that was my way of saying this horse was not trained....lol

it was young and knew nothing and she doesn't want to bother with that now. she wants a horse that goes well on trail without problems.

well off to get my hair cut

then to the tax acct. to get my wonderful and great tax return automatically deposited into my checking acct.

then off to post office to mail box soap orders

then off to walmart cause I need a few small things that apparantly I can not live without!

will take hubby out to breakfast to treat him. he loves that!

then back home to color my hair...love the color blond

then a few normal farm chores and relaxing time.


not much today, just enough to keep me running from one side of town to another lol


chilly here but my electric bill went down ALOT......the sun heats up the house to about 75-76 during the day and at night it holds, so no electric heat is coming on and I don't have to use my propane fireplace. I hardly used propane this winter, no fill ups so saved good money there.....easy winter...I like that!


my little dog is getting fatter, lol, gotta be careful feeding a small thing but it looks so pathetic wanting food all the time haha

I need to finish painting that bathroom but I am not in the mood....ah, tomorrow who cares right?

Good Thursday Morning North Carolina LOL


well slept great last night so I am up and at it this morning with bells on ....but by 2 I will be tired well maybe not cause I don't have much planned today.


got my hair cut a little shorter than normal...yikes---well it is hair, it will grow.


we are renting our 14 acre pasture we had some of our black angus contained----Barb my dairy farmer buddy. Her dairy backs up to some of our land and since it is empty now selling all those cows, she needs to rent for her heifers. She just bought $10,000 in fencing. Yikes. She is placing rotation pastures to help defer feed costs.

Kevin has still not decided if he is going to rent our hog barn. I thought it was set, but he still hasn't decided if he wants to bother with hog work......I don't blame him one bit for the delay...haha

Tony is changing out a flat tire on our bass boat today. He was supposed to work overtime today, but decided for Friday only. He does 12 hr shift work so 2 extra days is tough on him....so only 1 this week. Enough, can't work your life away right?


Tony downloaded his wildlife camera last night. Coyote pics along with a few very nice bucks. one is 8 pointer. I don't like seeing those coyote pics lol but it sure confirms they are on the farm. And raccoons, my goodness, just so many raccoons.




well nothing much doing....the usual mess of chores etc

off to get the day started----might paint the bathroom, might not
not sure if I am in the mood.....--but I know I have to get my butt in gear SOON
