LOL I hear you on the "must have sleep and relax days"

I used to fight those days, never relaxing, never putting my feet up for one moment (duh, what was wrong with me)

but now that the farming has practically come to an end, those tiny chores that are left are a cake walk lol

and yes I have learned to slow down and not feel guilty. geez, it is after all only work and it can wait, relaxing just feels so good lol

honestly I could care less but ya know, I got it started, geez, I must finish (but when lol) Nah, I will get my sorry butt in there and try to finish up. Ugh. Why did I start this stupid project?


Nothing much today usual make soap, get orders ready for shipping etc



got a wild hair to dig out the metal detector. the weather is starting to be super nice. never got to that park with Nicole....so I am thinking Wednesday I coud get there. hmm...


Gotta go pool shopping. I checked one place, price EH ya know...not tons of expensive, not cheap either --- but I have 2 more places I want to compare and I am kinda waiting for a "pool sale" which no one is seeming to have lol


As soon as the big old lovely IRS check is deposited in a few weeks, a few small projects will happen.....new gravel for the driveway, new base and gravel for the new part of the driveway where I put my big travel trailer. Yea kiss $1K to $1200 goodbye easily LOL sucks but I must do this now. Put off new gravel for many years...eventually all those projects creep up and wham, they have to be done.

My "leftover pet" goats in the pasture are going wild. everyone in heat I believe and no bucks and they are just nutso out there. well girls are PMSing big time. funny as heck to watch. I just tell them, no boys, go to work and occupy your time instead hahaha
My mind says sell, my head says "last" pets, my mind says sell, my head says keep something to eat the pasture grass haha Boer goats and they are getting super fat and huge. hmmm

off to find trouble, probably pour a can of paint on me or fall off the step stool while painting trim along the ceiling

Karen where does your little dog sit while driving in the car? I think if it can look out the window watch the horizon line it might feel better. That's how it is on a boat. Fresh air and the horizon or you puke. If my dog lays on the floor of our truck he wills sit up drooling once in a while. I have him look out the window and get some air. It helps.

I have not even turned in my taxes yet. I figure the longer I take the longer I get to keep my money.

good gravy Gina don't be telling me you are going to have to pay taxes. that is unamerican hahaha I got back just under $6,700. I am a happy camper (get it, camper lol) a good chunk is vacation money! WEE

Tony is in complain and baby moan mood, he never gets anything! OH poor baby---so I am giving him $750 to book any hunting trip he wants...alligator, wild boar, giant deer, whatever he can find to kill for $750 lol


doggie is on towel on back seat next to Nicole in her booster seat.

No floor for him cause I figure the feeling of the tires would be worse ya know. I wouldn't enjoy that lol

as much as I love painting, I noticed more and more I don't want projects. Any project. They get in my way of enjoying life LOL

I have to paint my master bedroom and kitchen after this stupid bathroom.....then onto Nicoles room and bath. After 10 years it is time for that refresh but it sure stinks now. Guess it can wait another 5 years or so haha

ONE HECK of a monster storm last night.

lightening, thunder, high winds, TONS of rain...tons I love big storms. I just am thrilled by the power....love it.

Everything outside is washed and fresh. I like that. Porch is clean from Nicoles mud, car is clean actually. Mother Nature's wash job is sweet!


Will paint today. Off in a minute to do just that.


Life is good. Life is content ya know. Without all the farm work I find I am settling in to a life of ease vs. stress. Good thing since my stupid knee is big time hurt. One step from Dr. which I hate to do but I think I will give it another week and relax off the knee and hope. But one more week and to the Dr. I go cause I am not functioning well at all.
Boy I always said, no feet, no horse. Well now it is no knee, no Karen
LOL LOL

Oh yea THEY took their kids thru the most dangerous waterways known on the planet. And yes, they had a "pirate plan" if anything happend.
Ah, yea sure, you are a "more smart and dangerous" as a killer therefore can combat killers....good thinking.

Again I say what in the heck is wrong with people. This was a choice to walk straight into stupid! and they took their children.


Now while this is not SS obviously, it is my journal and I am ranting on this family. The ignorance of people is astounding to me.

Is "stupid is" just literally as "stupid does" yea, I sure think so.


this hit 31 mins. ago....and I pray for those kids....the parents I will pray for them also but if all is fine I am going to slap them upside their heads with frying pans for sure. Not a laugh.



I want all to be fine but I shake my head in such disbelief that any human would put their kids directly into this peril. Adults, sure make your own decision....take the kids and I can say for sure you are a fool.



can ya tell this just is a sore issue with me. the "what were they thinking" sure comes into play again on this situation and to me stupid is as stupid does for sure.

and the poor kids are dragged along.


honestly. I can't stand the news anymore. Time to stop watching but that would be irresponsible also of me to just walk away from the outside world.


ok just a rant in my journal. just a few thoughts I have to convey.

Honestly, FC, This is one of the reasons I don't read the news. I don't shut myself off from the world, but at one point I became so engulfed by all the badness in the world that I became outright depressed. I learned a lot about the crappy things going on to people I don't know and probably will never meet and I let their lives direct my own. I mostly paid attention to stories about missing/abused children or family tragedies and the effects it had on my life were really amazing.

I ended up blocking the major news websites from our internet because I became that addicted. In some way I thought reading the stories would make me feel better about my life but in reality all it did was consume me and make me question humanity.

I have no idea why someone would knowingly put their family in danger. Maybe they really thought they were too far away from the danger - maybe they thought they were invisible. Who knows...all we can do is pray for their safe return and maybe a little dose of reality to hit them where it will stick. I mean, it's really really sad their vacation had ended them there and one would only hope that someday people can take their vacations as they please, but unfortunately that's not the case at this time.
