That's a 8x8 and would fairly easily hold 40-50 meaties for 8 weeks till butcher. I'll see if I can find someone interested in the doeling for you :)

I wouldn't if it were any other birds, but by the time these get large enough to take up substantial ammount of space all they do is sit around anyway, and it'd get moved daily under those circumstances. I'd put that many in there. :hu

Didn't say I was doing it, just that it could be done. I'm not even doing that many meaties at a time....they're a pain in the butt enough with 10 at a time

Besides, why wouldn't it work Mr Smarty pants :p

depends on how hot the weather got. My last batch of 35, I had in a 15x15 run and they tried to spread out as far as possible in the heat.

I won't even think of doing them in the heat down here....strictly Spring or Fall. I think it could work given the right temps. Like, if I had some NOW....they're be chickencicles  but in the next few weeks to a month, it'd be perfect weather to do them like that. Plus, in a tractor, moving them every day, we have lots of shade here too. I'll probably do 25 or so at a time. I absolutely hated the last 10 but they are quicker than regular breeds. Always a trade off.
