You had a crazy busy day. Ya know, for the last two years I haen't even planted okra - even though I have LOTS of okra growing. Whenever I go out to pick okra and find some of it hard, I cut those off and toss 'em on the ground. Then when I till the next year it scatters the seeds in a general area and they come up in the spring all by themselves! I looooove it when that happens!

Sweet dreams!

Ahoy! It's national talk like a pirate day me hearties! I'm about to bring a spring upon her cable and give no quarter! I have to get me booty to the coffer before some bilge rat scallywag landlubber finds me loot first! Arrrr!!!

In other words...I'm turnin this ship around and going to the grocery store, taking no hostages along the way. I'm getting in and getting my stuff and getting out!!! Then I gotta come home and put it up.

Long to do list today and I wanna get it to did  I can't get out of taking kids to the fair tonight. I put them off and barely spared a mutiny last night! The horror!!! Shrill wailing and utter despair of disappointed short people and teenagers is just too much to risk again!!! I must go be tortured by the aromas of greasy fair food I can't eat, and spinning rides that the human body was not designed to acclimate to. Contortion chambers of doom, here we come!!

Well we had a good time :) Niecey is 9, and short, and was barely able to ride everything, but she did, even the scary big rides. I was so proud of her!!! DD had a blast, she took niece on most of the rides. I got on the Tornado, and just about tossed my peanut butter and banana sandwich ugh! That ride was crazy, toss you up in the air and spin you in tiny circles while going around and around, made me dizzy. DD wanted to spin it fast, and it was fun at first, until my body decided I'm too old for that mess :p The girls rode the big swing, that takes you up about 50 or so feet in the air while slinging you around in a huge circle, niecey thought that was cool because you can see all the lights of the fair. Those two got nachos before we left :sick The drinks were disgustingly flat and pure sugar  The midway was a dust bowl! My dark shoes are dusty tan now lol! All in all, typical fair experience, the sites and sounds and squeals of utter delight mixed with some of sheer terror, and the most unhealthy foods on the planet, in a semi dirty outdoor experience that makes for awesome childhood memories. It was great!!!!! ;) We missed the rodeo, but I think I was the only one interested in that honestly, so I don't mind having taken one for the team :) I'm glad we got to do a nice family outing, it had been a while.

Today. Back to business. Tons of chores and errands again. Hogs to slop, garden to pick, stores to shop....a little garbage eating dog to smack around(not really smacking her, but she tempts me) and then of course, trash to clean up :/ She seriously got in the kitchen trash yesterday while I was gone and stole chicken bones :barnie She KNOWS better, because when I came in, she was all cowing down like I was after her with a mallet gonna beat her. She is so funny. Weird little stupid dog...you'd think by some of her super submissive posturing we did beat the silly thing. She was just sorry for getting in the trash...well, not sorry for getting them bones I bet, but for making a mess. I guess big dog hasn't taught her how to clean up afterwards yet. Big dog DID get in the trash, and would take everything out down to what she was after, get what she wanted, and then put everything BACK in the trash can after she was done. She ONLY got caught because we caught her IN THE ACT of doing it!! She may still do it, I dunno really, but I haven't caught her in years. Those dogs are nutty ;) I can't handle a garbage eating dog though, that's as bad as a cat :sick

I would have been okay on the rides except I was trying to fight off a headache and my back was hurting BAD....found out why...pulled muscle :/ It's better now, but now I have a headache again  Ugh....one day, just ONE day I'd like to NOT have an ache or pain :p Maybe tomorrow I guess ;)

DD16 got herself in a load of trouble this week, which is a lot of the reason I haven't been on. I found out the little turd was catching the bus at home, which takes her to the elementary school to catch a different bus that goes to the high school....except she wasn't getting on the high school bus...she was catching a ride with a 19 year old whom she is NOT supposed to be dating or seeing unless under supervision. I'm sorry, call me old fashioned, but that's enough of a spread she can get into a bit too much, and HE can get in legal trouble. He KNEW we didn't know he was taking her to school.... Kids are completely insane sometimes. I let her and him both know under no uncertain terms that this would NOT be happening again, and if it does, he would have one heckuva fight on his hands :rant Stupid boys, STUPID girls.... :old

Anyway......I have just a few days left before my COMPANY ARRIVES :weee :weee So tomorrow I have to stay home and clean house most of the day. I still have to go pick peppers and tomatoes too though, and get something done with all this dang okra again...that just seems SO neverending :barnie

Jamie, how does catfish, hushpuppies, and fries sound for Friday night dinner? :D I am SOOOOOOOO hungry for catfish right now!!!
