Is the buckling intact? If so, you may have a problem....get him done soon!
Seperate quarters until I can sell him for a breeder. Pure Nubians are rare here so shouldn't be too hard to sell him.

Sounds similar to some of my first goats.

I had a bottlefed goat, FF, about 16 months old with a WILD kid, who had never been milked. And no milking stand.

Fortunately I also had another FF who was a sweetheart and had already been trained to the stand, so the first experience I had milking wasn't with Miss Pushy Witch.

I ended up with an improvised stand. She was about 8 inches off the ground, neck collared and tied, with a bucket of grain. She didn't want to be touched, ESPECIALLY not on the udder, and kicked repeatedly. She had TINY teats and I had to bump hard each time to get a stream.

But I did it, and it did get better. That much encouragement I can offer at least. I'm sure most people here could much better answer any specific issues, but I just wanted to congratulate you and say that ... If I could do it (under those circumstances), ANYBODY can. ;)

Ole thing?!?!?!? :p I'll ship you the first kid ;)
Dont think I wouldnt fly to TN right now and wait at Shiloh for them goats to appear. I would be bringing the buckiling and doeling home. I really do want goats but I aint got a place. I do but it would take forever to clear it and it just aint worth it.

Hoof prints mainly impacted the forearm. From rear hooves kicking. It depends who is faster ... You or the goat ... And how determined you are to save the milk.

No, the forehead is more in danger from horns when the head is thrown back. Hopefully your goat won't have them. If she does, they make nice handles for someone to grip, which is an invaluable aid in circumstances like mine were.

Now baby goaties, on the other hand, are good for hoofprints to the back and shoulders when you sit down outside. I had a TIME teaching that baby girl I was NOT the mountain of which she wanted to be king!
