Yeah every 13 yr old girl I know picks up that uberstupid line from other girls at school It's mostly whiney crap, but do keep a close eye on whether she is ACTUALLY in pain from cramps or not. Those can be VERY very bad, even with products like Pamprin and Midol available. I just generally ask my DD ahead of time if she'd like to go shopping, and if she says all perky "Sure where we going?" I tell her get her chores done and I'll let her know when they are complete, but if she says "Nah, I really don't feel like walking that much" etc. I give her a Pamprin and tell her to get her chores done when she feels up to it and I don't bother her about it too much, and give her space. That's mean I know, but it gives me a feel for how she REALLY feels, because lots of times they simply WILL NOT be honest, and that is the ONLY way to tell!FarmerJamie said:I'll go ahead and post this, hoping you'll still be here....Wannabefree said:!!!!!!!!! That is just too stinkin cute!! What sweet kids, but you can keep em, because I know what they all grow into in a couple years!! Mine reminded me last night why I dare not want any more. Teen years are upon me yet again, and at 13 I already want to sent her to boarding school :/
We were making up Christmas baskets last night for family, and she popped off about "Nobody wants this junk anyway, they'd rather have storebought gifts!" all because she didn't want to help Why does this particular age have to be so rotten and snotty?!?! Anyway, we then forced the little sour puss to help She is getting on my nerves Hope she wakes up on the RIGHT side of the bed this morning or she'll be stuck in her room for the duration of the party so as not to ooze her stanky attitude all over everyone else's good time.
This is how I feel today ---->
Riddle me this batman, since you have a teenage DD as do I - now this is sensitive, but since when is the monthly visit an excuse to be a raging pain in the butt to everyone one in the house?
Yeah, I got my hands full.
If she is being especially crabby.....make her take a nap!! She'll think you are treating her like a baby, but she will secretly be enjoying the break. While fussing comes out her mouth and she'll never SAY the words...she'll be thanking you, as will EVERYONE ELSE!!!
Oh and I will keep up at the library for sure!! I tend to go to town at least once a week. I'm hoping hubs check will get here today so I can just go pay the stupid thing and be done with it, but......well Christmas has set it back a bit I'm thinking. They only give 5 days to get the bill paid before they come shut you down!!!! Trigger happy morons...doesn't even matter if you have toddlers in the home around here :/ I reeeeeeally don't wanna have to put up with DD and her skitzophrenic overdramatizing over this so...hope with me, for that gubament check
