Deep breath.
Pray.
List out the pros and cons.
Talk to everyone involved.
Pray.
Get everything in writing - possibly looked at by a lawyer, especially concerning money and the "someone else is going to pay for this"
Pray.

Kudos to you for considering it. Make sure that it's not only going to be the best decision for you and your family, but also for the kids.

:thumbsup

A homestudy? Like home school? :hu I dunno. My google has various things about studying from home, like college courses and stuff. :hu

It's good that the teen has flipped her lid, but that's probably soon to come. XD
Nah it's more like the state onspectors come in my home and tell me where I am inadequate

No, this is where some social worker deems if you are 'fit' to raise kids.

Musta posted right after WBF

We underwent one when we adopted too. The social worker came and toured our house and property. It involved lots of questions. We had to have the well tested, prove we had smoke detectors, show vaccination certificates for our pets, stuff like that. I'm not sure if some of the stuff was specific to what was required by the Russian government though. :hu We had follow up visits for two or three years afterwards too. There was financial information to disclose too. It does feel a little invasive, but we tried to remember they were looking out for the best interests of a child.

All this comotion...I forgot to tell you all the sweet sweet bunny story :D Here goes....We lost a bunny baby yesterday, it got out of the corner of the new cage. We looked and looked for lost bun yesterday, couldn't find it, hoped it would be okay, figured it lost forever but hoped it would have a happy life out in the wild. Fast forward to feeding time this a.m. DH goes out to feed the little chicks in the brooder coop and run, but notices one looks kinda fuzzy ;) It was the BUN! Dunno how in the world he got through the chicken wire to get in, but he had made bed with the chickies last night :D DH thought he'd be hard to catch so he was seaking up to go in for the snatch, but bunny baby saw him....they stared at each other for a second, and then DH puts his hand flat on the ground, and says "heeeree bunny bun" and bunny bun promptly jumps onto his hand happy to see daddy come to his rescue :love Aint that so cute you could puke!?
