Well WBF I had been lurking on here unlogged but I went and saw where you posted on my journal and I thought I should get on. I ve been reading these pages. And I see your more than likely gonna have new children. :D Definitely ironic because I was lurking on the kid thread. God works in mysterious ways. I think this willl be awesome for you!! But I do think its important that you ask the kids where they really want to be. I know what it like to be made to be somewhere even though you dont want to. Thats not what they need if its been bad before. I liked your rabbit story btw it was so cute! And about the Goats I would they'd have to be current as well because its custom to overlvaccinate your large animals. Ask me how I know this. ;)

I also think your farmer in the bunch will be like me!! I remember the days when all this was my Moms project and look at it now. :p
:D James, ya always have the right things to say buddy :) You are an awesome kid, and i only hope I have the honor of raising one as sweet as you :hugs

I do think the kids need to have a say as much as possible. Unfortunately their say will be very limited considering the state is involved. Heck, MY say will be pretty limited as to how all this plays out! I know the kids don't want to be seperated though, and this may be their only option for staying in a group. :( & :) at the same time!!! I talked to Kentucky DHS this a.m. and they will be contacting state of TN DHS to get the homestudy rolling and they said it could take 3-4 months to get the children here :th
Thanks :hugs Are they in Kentucky???????

Yes, James. Right now they are in the custody of a foster family in Kentucky and we will have to do the paperwork through the states of Kentucky and Tennessee to get them here. What a loooong road and process this is gonna be.

Whew! I was thinking this morning...Do ya really wanna? Do you think you can? Is there enough patience in the WORLD to get them and us through this with a good outcome? I hope and pray those answers are all yeses, but I honestly am not 100% positive. Then again, who ever is ready for kids? It can't be worse than Octomom :p I need to call up the Duggars and get some tips  Seriously...not a bad idea! Hey I wonder where Boyd has been...maybe he'd let me pick his brain, he fosters like a million kids. Maybe I'm not crazy after all, I mean I don't/won't have as many children as SOME people, right? ;) I kinda feel crazy right now though :D

We got the other AC unit scrapped out today. I just got home from picking up milk and a few groceries, and taking it off. Finally got the last of our insurance papers signed and am finally finished with THAT mess. I think I may be able to work my way around this ticket, and maybe get the officer to drop it....hoping I can, because I need all the spare change I can save right now to get these kids on track when they get here. I'm pretty sure at this point it will go through. It's all just a waiting game wrapped in a bunch of purty red tape that has to be unwound, and then they'll be home. Wow that really sounds strange, the kids will be home?!?! Yeah, that's gonna take some getting used to. Shoot I JUST got used to oldest DD being married and gone and leaving me with one very squawky chick in the nest :hu NOW I have a whole other new set of circumstances to get my mind set on :th See, I keep going back to it. My every thought is consumed with these kiddos already, next it will be my every MINUTE

Anyway, I have accomplished a good bit today, and now I have to go out to harvest veggies. Then I have to come in and cook supper. ThenI have to go to my mom;s to get a half bushel of fresh peaches :drool to put up, and THEN I'll be back for a few before bed :frow See ya'll in a bit :)

Wow, what a saga. How cool that you are already thinking of them being "home". :) You could be the best thing that happens to these kiddos.

(and yum, peaches! Sometimes I wish for a longer/warmer/better growing season than we have here. We are still on the tail end of strawberries and the start of raspberries. Peaches are much later in august.)

You guys remember last month when I was helping my neighbors with their horses and turning their sprinklers on for them while they were away on vacation? They got the bill today..... $800 :ep :th Neighbor called and mentioned it, I told him, no way they used 172 THOUSAND gallons of water?!?! At least, i don't think they did :hu they had them on all the time though seemed like, but 172,000 gallons...I can't even wrap my head around how much that would be!!!
