Most scrappers I know cut out cute little pictures and glue them in albums. :gig Good to hear things are on the upswing for you. Every once-in-a-while someone will stop at our house after noticing our back 40 graveyard for down, dead and disabled machinery, and ask if they can clean it up for us. We usually let them take out a load or two. Anyone who is willing to work that hard must need the money, and we're happy to get the place spruced-up a bit. The last guy who stopped in was missing an arm. DH helped him load his truck, then had to get the tractor to pull the truck, which had sunk into the mud under the load of scrap.

Hi James :frow

Wow VickiLynn...sounds like uncle's place ver here. DH's grandaddy used to own a bridge construction company with the Governor, and so that is why all of this stuff is here to begin with. He also thought he would do some farming back in the day, and decided against it a few years later. Where it quits is where it sits was his motto  The man never fixed his equipment...just got new stuff :hu So there it has been sitting for about the last 50 years or so.

I have SOOOOOOOO much to do today!!! I have gotten two loads of laundry done, animals fed, and kid off to school.

Left on my to do list is:
caging the peppers so the goats can't get them
clean the front porch
finish laundry 2 loads
drag up and haul a load of scrap
find all my receipts and put them in a specified place from now on :/
get started laying rows for the Fall garden
add nest material to the nest boxes in the coop
make a run to the store for a couple things
sweep and mop the floors
and a few other miscellaneous time consuming things if I make it that far.....
figure out dinner details, cook, and clean up
church tonight

It's gonna be a loooooong day  Needless to say I will not be on much today or this afternoon.

UGH I have had a draining day. I got a lot done, but not everything. Laundry is finished, I took off a load of scrap, and did some shopping, during the shopping trip is where my day hit the decline..this poor man fell and busted his head open in the checkout line and is not expected to make it. It is really sad, he was fairly young, and I am heartbroken for him and his family. His stepdad was crying and his mother I believe was in shock. My friend who works there had to clean up afterward and she is distraught. I don't think I'll get to the rest of my chores today, I just want to relax and take a breather to appreciate what I have right now, life is just too short...I'll get to chores tomorrow :(

Pray for Steven and his family. That is all I know about him, his first name.

Well...church was great. Our church has a meal every Wednesday night for fellowship so we went tonight, didn't eat, but went to visit. We had a great time with everyone. I have more scrap to haul off now. One of the elder gentlemen asked about how work was going and I mentioned what we had been doing and he offered me two truck loads of items he needs out of his way :hu God is just really pushing me into the scrap buisness lately  I just wonder what we're supposed to do with all the extra money...extra money kinda makes me nervous. The way I look at it, it really isn't mine, it's His, and I want to be a good steward of what is given to me/us. I just need to do some more quiet time and listening. There are SO many needs in our community right now and I would LOVE the opportunity to help others, but haven't a clue where to start...or when really. I know we have to get stable and STAY stable, but really it IS a lot of excess money....it has just got me thinking about how we used to have money, and waste it...and how I REALLY would like to avoid that now. Anyway, that's what's on my mind...giving...serving..finance. Our picture is changing, and I am wondering what God wants, and I hope to not be such a dunce with His gifts He is giving. He has heard our prayers, obviously, and knows and is meeting our needs. Just trying to think of ways to bless others through those gifts. Today, in the store, makes me take a LOT less for granted. We aren't promised tomorrow, so I want to do right today. I'm just thinkin out loud ya'll
