I SAID probably!!! I need to get my tiller home and get it workin and get out my seeds and see what I NEED rather than what I want...I have many decisions between me and that completed order form!! I'm itchin to play in the dirt though
Would you mind posting your thought process as you walk through the planning? There's another thread I think you've posted on http://www.sufficientself.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=7762

I toil at the planning to much and always change my mind at the last minute seeing someone else go through it would be helpful.

Stuff like:
How much canning, seed drying, etc? Time to harvest and preserve everything? Costs of canning supplies?

Oh I have corn and sunflower seeds to plant too. I get mine from different places James. I shop around for the best deals. My BIG buy this year is going to be a pot grown blueberry variety. Then I have to check and see what seeds my family saved for me, THEN I get to order new ones. Such a loooong process, but i have a STRICT budget this year and I'm stickin to it!

We always plant to much, but she and I both find a use for it. 5 rows of potatoes, 8 rows of tomatoes that bear all summer, and LOTS OF CORN AND BEANS. ANd Okra is awesome, btw!

I change my mind a good bit too, but here is my current game plan laid out in this thread.

See what seed I have.
See what my family has saved.
Figure what I want to plant(space isn't an issue)
Figure what seeds/plants I am lacking.
Dig in the compost.
Gather some tires for raised beds for the ones I want to raise up. Not hard, some just up the road at a dump site.
Plant it, either here or at mom's place...but probably both at the correct times

If possible, we will be expecting pictures. Just for WBF to fuel her enthusiasm, here is a picture of watermelon from last year.

I dry tomatoes/peppers/fruit/and meats.

I can jellies, tomato sauce, and other sauces. I have access to LOADS of canning supplies and helpers :D My cousins and aunts all set a date and bring EVERYTHING to one house and we get in a huge kitchen and work/process/chop/cook/pester the crap outta each other/clean up and share all at the same time usually. BIG family. Last year there were 10 or so working(slow year). This year, probably 20 or so if not more. We pile in my cousins big cabin my the lake usually.

I freeze okra, corn, beens, squash, carrots, tomatoes for soups, etc.
