We can but I consider my groceries paid for since I offer endless help in the garden, keep our animal herds and flocks together, etc.

But in this economy that may be necessary  :p

Yeah I make DD help most of the time too. Just wish it weren't so much trouble to ask her to do something sometimes. She's such a whiner it's often easier to just do it myself :p She wants a job, and is mad she can't get one. I think it'd be good for her attitude. She wouldn't treat her boss the way she does me or she'd be out on her butt  Wish she liked this kind of stuff like you do. I hope the foster kids will like it too. It makes chores easier if you enjoy them, and they will have chores. The younger ones generally love to help, and I have my hands full now, so it'd be very welcomed ;)

I dont know how I got interested in it. Just sort of happened. But Im the main instigator of these projects, Mom never planned to take it this far. But here we are and enjoying every minute. :D They probably will want to help you said earlier one of them wanted to be a farmer, correct? Just figure out where they can be most helpful and content at then place em accordingly....

The oldest likes animals. DD used to be interested until she got back in public school and got all wrapped up in how her hair looks :p I have noticed her playing with the rabbits more lately though. I think she misses the animals. I miss my little girl :( Now shes more often a screamin meanie

Then I' say that they'd be a good option to feed/water the poultry and collect eggs........and public school is bad and will ruin ya.

Yeah I think they'll enjoy doing that stuff. I'll just have to closely supervise. Don't want the goats in the chicken feed again. THAT can be a real nightmare....they're like addicts  I need to rearrange the bunny area and clean up out there again. After this rain stopss I need to get out there and toss some straw in the bare spots and general cleanup along with getting the other cages and stuff ready for the other buns and figuring out the best way to set them all up for the best configuration to keep weather out and such. I also need tops on a few of the hutches. We brought the two new buns in today and snuggled with them for a while. I need to catch the few that have been running loose, and get them set back up. The goats like rabbit feed too :/ They crushed one of my cages trying to get at it so I have to fix that too. I have just been so busy with other things lately the poor bunnies haven't gotten as much attention as they need. They have loved hopping around the yard foraging, but forage is getting scarce now, so I need to get them up. We've been leaving feed and water in the shed for them. Dogs come up in the yard and they bolt for the shed to hide  It's cute, and the dogs won't go in there for some reason. Anyway, I have lots of things to do around here...enough to keep me busy for the entire winter..and then I HAVE to get my greenhouse done! It;s driving me NUTS! I just haven't had the time. I think I'm gonna quit sleeping for a week or so and check off a bunch of stuff on my to do list
