I need to work on a fe bunny things too, finish a box for a prego doe. Then fix her hay feeder, put some bedding in their nest for babies.....then start plotting my ZERO cost rabbit pasture pen for the does. Do the does cooperate alright together?

Mine have so long as they have plenty of room. I am thinking of burying wire around the perimeter and starting a small colony rather than caging. I don't care for the cages myself, and I rather don't think the bunnies do either ;) Besides, then I wouldn't have to have so many waterers/feeders to fill every day. It seems like it'd be less work, and better for the buns to let them roam more. I just don't like them running out in the front yard. we have too many strays and eventually bunny luck will run out and they'll get one.

I will be trying it but must figure out a fortified way to go about it.....I'd like to have colonies to but space doesnt permit and I already have cages built. But I DO want to pasture......

Mornin turkeys! It's raining cats and dogs here, about two inches of rain has fallen in the last hour and a half. Guess I won't be moving anything today. Probably won't be working outside either. DH kept me up half the night...he's SO sick with allergy crud :( DD made it off to school today though, she's better. Last day this week for her at least. I need to get laundry caught up again, and finish putting things away in the attic, finish cleaning out the back room closet, and try to figure out how I'm going to lock up cleaning supplies. Maybe I can get that done today :) I hope!

Yeah Pinky this is pretty much normal Fall weather around here. Just be glad it isn't cold enough for ice yet ;) I can hear the underground stream gushing out back now. My back yard is flooded about 2-3 inches, and it's raining again.

I went and fed and checked the rabbits after it slacked up a bit and their cages are a smidge leaky, but bunnies are dry. I'll have to tend to that when the rain stops. I have some old siding pieces I can put on top of their houses to keep them drier and I need to get a pallet under them to keep the bottoms drier. They're raised up a good bit, but one is not raised up enough because the bottom wire is sagging :/

DD fed them yesterday because I was busy cooking supper and the new ones hadn't been fed yet...I should have known to go check, she took the feed bowl from two rabbits cage to give to the new female rather than getting the new female her own feed bowl :smack I get so sick of her halfway doing things :somad She spilled the rabbit food and didn't clean it up too, and she left recycling cans by the back door in the way and of course now they're spilled so I have to go clean that mess up. She's already grounded :/ That child is just a glutton for punishment. She'll have LOTS more chores when she gets home this afternoon and she will do them until she does them right!! :barnie

I get so tired of more work because of others laziness!!!!!!!
