It wasn't any easier as the oldest on both sides of the family. We were the one the parents and grandparents "practiced" on.

The late coming little buggers were the most spoiled brats and by the time they got old enough to do the fun stuff, I was on my to college.......
Yeah, me and John were the oldest of my mom's side grands. Then my cousin Jason is a few months younger than me...we got spankings....a LOT
I'm not sure we can determine cause-and-effect with this little bit of info only. ;)

Well we all got one for riding a little red wagon down the hill at grandmas into the big 6 foot deep ditch at the bottom of the hill. we got banged up pretty bad, but the ride was fun while it lasted. THEN we got another for fighting over the ONE bicycle at Jason's house when they were teaming up on me I started chucking rocks at them as they went by......and got busted..I got a spanking for hitting them with rocks...they had marks ALL OVER their legs, and they got it for not sharing with me and going to town when they weren't supposed to be out of the neighborhood...neighbor snitched em out but they blamed me and I got it AGAIN when momma wasn't lookin :th

THEN..well you get the picture

I got it once - at Christmas, my sister and I and at the time, our only two other cousins, ages when me-cousin-sister cousin, were for some reason eating Christmas dinner in Grandma's basement. There were these little Christmas tree shaped ice-cream desserts that my youngest cousin and my sister started a food fight with. My uncle at the time had a real temper issue and when the adults got clued in as to what was going on, I thought I'd hide in grandma's canning supply closet, where I knocked over and broke her 2'x2' marble slab that she used for candy making.

Not the most optimal choice by me.....

I'm looking at my postings and something else I'm working on, and I realize I can't string a sentence along together worth spit tonight.

I just had a thought - I know that several of us are really looking forward to the gardens this summer, I realize with the geography we can't be in sync for a lot of things. Can we find a way to be supporting, yet maybe a little competitive at the same time - just to have some fun with it? I work better with a little friendly peer pressure :hu

Oh you mean like a contest hmmm? Maybe for the best looking tomatoes of the season? Or most produce per square foot of garden space, which would be VERY competitive in the planning department...yeah I think that would be a great idea, but plan on getting smoked :p  James and granny will probably beat the tar out us both!! He cheats

I need to order seeds and figure how much I am going to till and how much compost, and ammendments I have/will need. I has a lots of poop from the chickens to use, and old bedding composting nicely, and rabbit droppings from when we had rabbits. I think I may get started piling things on the garden spot this week...soon as the snow melts that is :/ I HAVE to find that kind of tomato my Louisiana buddy grew a few years ago at the KOA we stayed at in West Memphis!! It was a MONSTER plant and I know I picked about 30 tomatoes off it, and they were HUGE and oh soooooo good. I must've ate tomatoe sandwiches for a month straight :drool Darn it, why you have to bring this up when I got SNOW Jamie?!?!?! :gig
