Survived......but without internet until about 20 minutes ago
I got my KitchenAide yesterday I have to go pick up vinyl siding this morning, deliver and unload it, and then it's back to the kitchen to make cake, noodles, bread, and whatever else...ya know I gotta test the thing to see if it's all it's cracked up to be
Pray for my neighbors. The old man is in the hospital. He has Alzheimer's, bad diabetes, and now his kidneys and liver are trying to shut down, and he's bad dehydrated, and his potassium levels are rock bottom. He also has just gotten over lung cancer, but now there is a spot on his kidney. It's not looking particularly good. His daughter is his caretaker, and she is wrestling with guilt, wondering if she couldn't have done better taking care of him, etc. They both need our prayers that God's will be done. He is 76 years old. Due to the Alzheimer's he had been hiding meds in his bedroom and taking them too often, when they(the other two adults in the house) didn't know. He has taken who knows how much Tylenol, and laxatives(thus the dehydration) and has gotten his system all out of whack. They found the meds in his room a few days ago, and took them from him, and took him to the doctor for a reg. checkup that day, but nobody knows how much and what all is causing his issues. He is just so weak, and in such bad shape, nobody is really expecting him to pull through all this. So, prayers for all the family please and thank you.
As you said, "G*d's Will be done"! This is not a good situation. I see it frequently. No one wants to accept "G*d's will"
I am sad for your friend. May G*d deliver him from his afflictions!"

Thanks folks, the family and I really appreciate the thoughts and prayers. They are probably sending him home tomorrow. Not positive what that means, but they are. Sometimes they do that when there is nothing else they can do for them in the hospital though. I'll try to get a better update later on today.
On another definately more upbeat note....KitchenAide ROCKS out LOUD!!!! DD has complained about the "spreadable" real butter because it's not so spreadable. well I made my own version today and it's PERFECT! That thing whipped it up like nobody's business It also did my bread in half the time of the bread machine. Still haven't used the pasta attachment yet, but WOW...is it ever worth it anyway! I love my new toy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to use storebought heavy cream to make the butter, but I used canola oil to whip into it to make it more spreadable, that way we can both have it, and it's just so awesome. We had some on fresh bread a few minutes ago
I got all the supplies needed for the addition to the neighbors house today. NO MORE runs to Corinth Now maybe in the next few days I can get everything done around here I have been putting on the back burner and get some noodles made and dried
I gotta go. Ten bajillion other things to do today...making buns for sloppy joe's tonight next
How much canola did you you use in the butter? Inquiring minds need to know
Mom made bread yesterday, its gone She made that Artisian bread out of Mother Earth News, and it needs a little Honey/Molasses and it would be the best. Tasted pretty nice with some salami at Lunch time.
