If it grow ANYTHING like it does HERE....just about 10 plants should be enough to get a good bit of okra. We're going to be overloaded
It freezes well. Frozen isn't the best for fried okra, but it goes well in veggie soup.
I fry frozen and it's GREAT ;) Just when you chop it to freeze, use a cookie sheet and do one layer, then pop it into ziploc bags. It shouldn't stick together so when you get ready to fry it, there it be :D Occassionally I do get a clump formed in the bottom, but I save that for soups instead of freezing any intentionally for soups. DH would DIE, we're talking curl up and croak, if he couldn't have fried okra at least 10 times in the winter  I think it's the only way he survives till the next crop!
Your DH sounds like my daughter and future daughter-in-law! Okra lovers indeed! Congrats on the great harvest.

Nine years ago today....I married DH and took on the task of raising a 4 year old and a 10 year old, both girls, that weren't mine. at that point I had no idea where the road would take us, all of us, but I like where we are. It's not everything we ever anticipated, but it's OURS and nobody else can claim it :) Since that day, much has changed for certain, the kids, the house, even the husband has changed, the pets and animals have surely changed, and we've been through SO much it's hard to believe all that will squeeze into 9 years. But here we are, solely by the grace of God, and for that I am thankful. I have been so mad and hurt at him that I could spit some days, and some days I have been so happy I didn't want to miss one second of time spent by his side. So goes the ups and downs of married with children. Looking back, I wouldn't trade one second of it, not one hurt feeling that eventually made us closer, not one happy moment that is forever burned into my memory, not one tear, one laugh, and not anything in between. Wow...nine years...where did they go? I tell ya where they went...straight into my heart, which is full up with the best a person could ever dream of to share with someone else. That's where they are. Nine years of memories, that make me a rich woman. :love So, here's to my hubby, and all of life's craziness we have shared :woot Let's go 100 more!!!!! I'm ready! :D
