Ways to loose belly fat

Was responding to the comment that no one should be bullied into treatment. My experience with doctors has been very different. Of course I am VERY picky about doctors. I have few complaints and mostly positive experiences. I also am fortunate to live in an area with excellent medical facilities.

My grandfather's care was prolonged needlessly. This was in Florida and completely unnecessary . An 85 year old man put through a year of chemo when he was stage 4 and had other health issues. But not all docs are like that.

This thread has kind of morphed into a cancer thread, although several have attempted to bring it back on track. I'm going to start a new thread on cancer. CC, you'll probably be interested because you met my son.

Regarding losing belly fat, for me it comes back to walking and making sure I get enough exercise. I do try to eat "healthy", with more fruits and veggies, nuts, etc, but to actually firm up, I needed to add more exercise.

If I stop caloried drinks (which does not mean substituting fake sugars) and add an extra serving or two of fruits/veggies per day, I will loose about a #/week. But, I'm a yo-yo. I've been loosing the same 20# for the past 30 years. Summer is much easier b/c I'm more active.

1998 1999 Actually lived 13 months...and chemo "helped" but, nothing would cure. It was his time.

I probably wouldn't do chemo.. immuno, maybe. Just saying...it sometimes pays to check it out!!

So on to dieting and eating …. more fun here.

IMO -- some bodies do not "tolerate" some things. It is true that healthy eating is better for us and the darned processors are really into adding junk. I eat very little processed foods. Have always cooked from scratch more than not.

So, yeah -- raw and from raw. Of course -- look at it -- goats eat raw grass, produce milk, I drink raw milk. Sounds just fine to me as my body loves the milk. For many the things that may be/have been raw are not good for us (sugar) and when those get eaten in quantity, our body systems do not process them well. I mention sugar as it is "everywhere" and so easy to partake of it without measure. For many, their daily coffee is where most is added.

I am starting to eat better - I have been slowly making changes in my diet, trying to find healthy things that I like.
But I still eat way too much sugar - candy and pop. I was drinking 4 cans of Mt. Dew a day plus candy bars. I am down to 1 can of soda. Soon I hope to be off soda, but will never be able to go totally soda free as we are in the bar every Friday night with friends.
This is the time of year for my favorite candy - Brach's Cherry Hearts. They are only available from Jan to Feb 14th. The stores around here sell out fast, so I just gotta stay out of Valentine Day aisle at the store. DH loves them also, he brought home a bag the other day - he was so happy to bring them to me. Luckily he ate more than his half.

I make hibiscus tea for hubby because it's good for blood pressure. Never heard it could help with weight. Sure hasn't in him.

Yep, I've heard hibiscus was good for the heart. This was the first time I heard it could help with weight loss.
