Luckily no... that is a bit north of Anchorage... in "the valley" an area that has colder winter but hotter summers... it is our "breadbasket" area.@Alaskan is this weather + power outage near you? Stay warm!
The pictures that I saw were impressive... they often have high winds... but usually not damage like what they have now.

Gonna be a double layer glove kinda chore day. I have 2 chickens that wont drink out of the heated dish so I will be out a couple times un-thawing the small waterer. Definitely giving some extra straw this morning as tonight is going to be worse.

yeah, the cold weather is finally getting here and staying. the high forecast for today in 21F and we're already at 20F. at least the wind has calmed down. we have some night's forecast down into the low single digits so that will make for some crawl under the blankets weather, but i sleep really well.

Looks out at silkies yelling to go out into the heavy rain.
Yeah. They did cross polish into them to get those giant crests. Originally they only had small ones.

We've had only 2 inches of rain today. I wont complain. My friend down in Raymond has had almost 7 so far. River is threatening to flood the road by her house. She's up hill from that and has a 200ft or so drive so her house is safe. Extra streams flowing down in the chicken pens, though. Birds are safe but stuck in houses.
