we had rain last night and most of the morning to get most of the snow melted. had this been a normal mid-winter we'd have gotten 1-3 feet of snow out of this storm. instead it just puddled and then drained off (with the ground mostly still frozen).

tonight we're supposed to actually get some snow, we'll see how that goes... :)

It started raining and within a half hour I had a migraine. The yo yo weather really bothers my head. I wish I knew how to shear my own sheep, this morning would have been a perfect time to do it (and lock them in for the rain of course)
DH an I have been talking about shearing a couple ewes. Best practice is to shear before lambing, but we've always done after. Too cold for me! There's a 40 in the forecast, but none of the earlier 40s materialized. IDK. If we get a warm-ish day, I am ready with blades and my victims picked out.

we did pick up enough snow last night to cover everything over again. looks much nicer out there now. probably most of it will be melted again by next week. more storms in the forecast. high winds for tomorrow. it doesn't matter i don't have to go anywheres. shovel will get used today. :)
