Yes, it is not nice the way some folks take advantage of well meaning people. Cats especially can be hard to find homes for.

Normally w/the cats, she just makes sure they're spayed and neutered. They don't come in the house, and outside cats just don't have as long a lifespan as house cats, so it's not as much as a problem. I know of at least 1 cat that disappeared over the winter. We don't know if it got hit, something ate it, or it found a new home.
