Ditto on the wine - health benefits ya know! But in the heat of the summer, after you've been mowing or weed whacking or carrying 15 bags of feed to the feed room - an ice cold beer really hits the spot!

I do enjoy an occasional cold beer. But only on occasion.

I figured out a long time ago that I don't need any help making an ass out of myself, I am crazy enough as it is. Alcohol, and I have no limits! I will have ONE glass of wine once in a great while, but pretty much consider myself a non drinker. I used to knock it back and party hard, but decided it was time to stop.
Beer-I dump one in a bowl and add enough Bisquick to make a dough, flatten it with my hands and cut out biscuits. Butter, home made jam, and pig out!

Yeah. My barely working mouthfilter completely breaks when I have more than a couple. I'm already very opinionated. So drink doesn't help me any. But it's still fun to cut loose from time to time. Especially with the sheer volume of hours I work.

Those biscuits sound nice… I once added a can of beer to a pork pie (not the traditional British(?) ones). The recipe called for it. The results were quite awful lol

Kicking back and having a drink or two now and then is a good way to relax. But like CJ here I get myself in enough trouble sober, so unlike CJ here, I take it easy. ;)

I bought Roasted Garlic bread mix a few months back that only called to be mixed with a bottle of beer. We made it with a roast pork, roasted onions and potatoes and pork gravy. Needless to say, the bread did not survive the dinner...all gone.

Oh, it was! Especially with the roasted onions on top with pork gravy drizzled over each piece. My mouth is watering now.
