Planted some potatoes today. Hoping to plant peas, and onions then spread some pelleted lime, and manure this week.

Yeah, a barn, with tack/feed room....plus 3 large run-in barns/sheds, an equipment shed, 3 carports (in fields) and chicken coops. You have to have these things with animals.

Planted 10 varieties of tomatoes today, and some cilantro. Using a heating pad under the seeds to speed germination.

Was à fun day in the garden today, putting chicken wire around the perimeter because of evidence rabbit(s) were snacking. Rabbits seem to come in waves, some years you don't see any, then they are all over the place the following year. It must be the year of the rabbit. If I see that lil furball, he'll be in the pot, then in my belly right quick.

Rabbits hopping all over my yard last season. Also, saw plenty of ticks. I blame it on the rabbits. I had my .22 ready, and the crock pot on stand by. Fortunately for the rabbits, I'm a terrible shot. Should have used the shot gun.

The local wild rabbits have beaten a path to the guinea shed all winter. They clean up the oats that the guinea hens bill out of the feeder. We do have a healthy population of rabbits at our place.
DH has been promising to make some raised beds for the garden area. Looks like I will be getting (2) 12'x4'x20" raised beds made from concrete blocks - with a 2x8 top for sitting on. $100 in materials for each one is the current estimate.
