3 more inches today and still pouring. 9" total the 3 days. Our swine are now swimming. It is a disgusting mess.
Try to find our farm in this weather map.

Stay safe, friend!

Today, I was able to get into parts of my garden. I pulled weeds in the cucumber, okra, and sweet potato patches. One or two of my sweet potatoes have been munched on by the deer. It didn't destroy them. I did harvest five nice cucumbers and will harvest more tomorrow. Hopefully, I can make some pickles soon. Pulled weeds around my winter squash too. Then, sprayed for squash and bean bugs on my lima beans and winter squash.

Hopefully, it will continue to dry out and I can till my sweet corn and around the squashes tomorrow night or Saturday morning. I can stake and mulch the tomatoes, and mulch the remainder of the squash. Then, plant some bush beans. I had planted greasy beans, but three plants came up. They were 10 year old seed. My watermelon need replanted as well. I finally found the seed. I had stashed it under my graduation program on my dresser.

My clearance tomatoes look great, and I have some left to set out. I got one tomato mulched before all the rain and it is the prettiest one in the garden right now... despite the rain.

What a mess... Wicked storm... the town of Creal Springd is without power. But we have power out in the country. My daughter and son in law are over here now cooking.

I gave my daughter in law and grand daughters a chainsaw escort home form our uouse. What usually takes a 10 minutes drive was 1 hours 40 mins. I helped the state, police, fire department and several people clear trees off the roads. We finally got behind a backhoe that was pushing trees off the road. But at least I got them home.

It's still thunderstorming but thankfully the wind has died down.

That sounds like a horrible storm. So glad you and your family are safe and sound.

Icetuche, my tomato's leaves are curling also. I had put it down to it being HOT and the fact that we have gumbo soil.

CrealCritter, were there tornadoes or just high winds? I am glad your family is safe!

Glad you are safe CrealCritter!

FEM, my garden might make something if the weather stabilizes.

No reports of tornadoes but they are saying we had 100mph winds roll through. IDK we we're in the root cellar because it was a bad storm. Now that it's daylight I can see the messm mainlyfrom fallen trees and branches all over the place. We still have no phone (land line) but cell phone service is working. Ofcourse the garden is a mess also but it's national lazy day (NLD) today, so it's going to have to wait :)

We got 2.75" of rain yesterday! And this is my forecast. I want to cry! I might melt!

I know it's not that hot for some of you but this is brutal for us. High humidity too.
