That one stringy tree of asparagus has some tiny yellow things in it. What are they?
I more seeds in the same bed to see what happens.
Nothing done today but church. Yesterday tried a weed eater but could do much with it. Too heavy but powerful. Couldn't get the darn harness figured out. Bought it new at almost 300 but might need to sell it on craigslist and but a lighter one forme to use. Thinking of making more beds and just put cement everywhere else so I don't have to weed out, lol
I did make some digging between. The tomatoes and peppers and just soak them so the water goes down deeper.
Pic is blurry but I bet it's the flowers!

I can't manage a gas weed whip either. Ii have a Dewalt electric one. My arms are sore, but it's manageable. I'll get some muscles from it 💪

Funny how you need to have muscles in order to get muscles.

About half the deep box in front of the greenhouse is full. I filled it with woodchips last fall and am now topping it off with compost.

This will be my kitchen herb garden. Perennials oregano, marjoram, thyme, sage, parsley. I'll let dill, basil and cilantro re-seed themslves. Not sure if there'll be space for cumin. I already planted astragalus, we'll see how it does.

It's right in front of the greenhouse so the root zone should stay 1-2 zones warmer during the winter. Also it's deep, so no standing water, but all the rain off the greenhouse roof will water it.

Just found two of these...in my watermelon patch. Opportunistic jerks. Look closely.

I can't remember what it's called. Looks like a thorned watermelon, but it's in the nightshade family. Flowers look like a tomato flower.

You see one of these, do not attempt to touch it without heavy gloves!

How long have you had those clear vinyl covers? I made the mistake of doing some for the roof of the chicken run and they have cracked and are too clear to bring shade for the babies. Changed them for the cream or ivory color ones and they have been doing good for the chickens. So when I thought to use the clear ones for the greenhouse, remember the cracks.

No more rodents on the chicken run for 2 nights.

Uncertain as to what to use the darn freezer yet. But have been getting rain lately so glad I didn't have to water and worried of all the weeds that are waiting for me so they can laugh at me.
Couple of appointments this week and my newest truck stalled about 1/4 mile from the house. Hub came and pulled it into my driveway. Dealing with that tomorrow 🙃

Almost two years now. 10 year warranty on the panels. You may have accidentally gotten the pvc panels. No warranty on those, and they deteriorate quickly. I have used the pvc panels only where they won't be in the sun.

I need to seed some pots of herbs! Thanks for the reminder:clap have seed ready just not getting it done...plenty of wet dirt!

Walked thru to see how things are after the winds & rain. Weeded 3 rows of the sweet corn. Looked to see where/if I needed to ad any seed in blanks spaces but, won't for couple days as I see new pop ups in corn & limas. 👍 Plus first zuc appearing. Things are ok. I'm hovering  :old
