flax is so pretty in the morning sun. :)

the tomatoes here are getting big enough they'll need some cages put on them soon. eek!

simmer (typo left intentionally now :) ) is here!
If it keeps simmering at this rate, I'll be able to leave the stove off and get pre-cooked chicken from the coop...

Why are you taking about eggs? My dumbbutts were getting broody all on top of the other in an Xtra nest boxes. Took 2 out of the flock and put them with the rooster for eating the eggs. So yesterday got tired of all fighting for the new double nesting boxes and let them go back to use the other 4. They didn't like that. From 16 eggs a day, today only got 8. If they think I will comply with their union demand, they will have to keep their eggs inside their fuzzy butt's! 😉 😆 🤣
Getting a bit better on the knee but did nothing outside. Just resting it as much as possible. I have a market tonight and I am praying that I sell double from last month. Especially the darn Pikachu that took me forever,😆 🤣

Well I wasn't expecting to do any work anywhere. God laughed at my thinking. A bad storm started around 4am and by 5 electricity went out. It was chaos everywhere . Hub took him 3hrs using any back roads but all was jammed to a halt. Trees and limbs everywhere. My greenhouse roof just bent. Plants got laid and chickens got wind and rain to cool off throughout the morning. Had to cancel market and get the run roof fixed and also the greenhouse. Mess around but house is fine and me and the animals. Pain is back up and i hurt my finger trying to open a window. Other than that is all good. Power plant was on from 5am until 7pm. At least the propane was almost full. Life is like a powerball machine. You never know what number will come up, 😆 🤣

Today, more of yesterday -- weeding, mulching, cussing. Thinking about how much black plastic I'll need to solarize the garden spot all winter!! Grass roots so deep from years of good pasture! 😱

So hours of serious work out there yesterday....

yeah, i know that feeling, i'm a long ways behind normal here. all the rains, plus getting a late start have keep conspiring, plus i'm still not 100% from being sick this past spring and then i also had an injury from a dumb thing last week so that's also slowing me down. and then add to that hiding from the heat in the AC is just too darned easy...

i'm getting stuff done inside and helping Mom a lot with her cooking and cleaning up, and well, stuff, so it's not like i'm completely gone to the happy little potato side of things, but i can see it from here at times...

the good thing is that two hours of weeding gets a lot done here because a lot of the gardens are in good shape. it's just a few disaster areas that are making me cringe.
