At the Master Preservers class yesterday, we were learning about dehydration and how one can slice, dehydrate and then powder pumpkin. The eating kind. Then you turn the powder into pumpkin pulp by rehydrating and make a pumpkin pie!! Who knew??

I made 2 pints of pumpkin flour. About the only thing it is good for is to rehydrate into pumpkin puree. I find it much less work to bag the pumpkin puree into quantities that you normally use and freeze them.Would like to know more about this
I'm working on opening my garden beds for fall/winter planting. Double the work since absolutely no garden or maintenance happened this spring...Need to find some motivation to work on settling the garden beds down for the winter.
