finished up the last of the bean gardens yesterday. it was a bit cold and windy out there but once i got moving it was fine. sun came out and warmed up a little more. done! :)

now i have the strawberry garden to weed and/or turn under, some ashes to spread and dig in. will have a steady supply of bean pods from shelling to work in gardens too as i get chances when the weather breaks. oh, yeah, also have to remember to get the garlic planted. that should be first on my list now...

Seeds. I'm addicted 🥴 And seed porn isn't even out yet. Like every Fall/Winter, I promise myself to do better -- plant as many of these possessed packages of seed as you can!! Really??? Like I'd need an acre just for beans. Corn (s) yes, every color & kind. I love the thought of growing them 😔

I need help. Is there a seed anon group :hide

there is no such thing as seed porn... that is a rotten myth created by the concrete jungle loving heathens...

Uh...do I actually have to recognize it as a problem in order to join? I coukd really mess up other people's recovery...
No need to join us on recovery. We all have to deal with our new seed porn that always shows up precisely when we don't have the money or after we've already blown the budget for seeds. I won't ever stop gardening though because it's a great way to get more nutrients into the body and since mine is organic I don't have to deal with the toxic chemicals from big business farming.

Well, I'm not at that stage but, close :old

Unless -- we also count bags of forage & ground covers. I actually have walked fields & cut seed head to save. OR, the stored to cook beans, lentils, etc. yeah I'm there.....insane. maybe we could ALL try to plant them out in 2025 😱 wouldn't that be amazing!!

I planted dry beans this spring and they thrived, produced, and did their last gasp just before the heat hit. A full quarter of my dry garden space goes to that next spring, and a quarter to corn, while I test out new dry crops in the rest.

Main garden goes into full production next year.
