I did set eggs in the incubator from two pens. Trial run on the new bator. Mostly blue eggs to further my silkie project.

Eight some years ago I hatched silkie x ameraucana chicks. One was the rooster I had in with my large fowl. The two hens live with the silkies and I used them as a base for my silkie blue egg project. I have a couple gen 5 pullets now. They look like all the other partridge silkies. Only carry one copy of the gene. Haven't had a really good cockerel from a blue egg yet to start trying to get birds carrying two copies.
