It's like tipping the hairdresser. I don't know if guys tip barbers or not. Then again, when I work - it is as a waitress. Anyway, I do them myself now and for the past year or so. Wish I got the $80!Boogity said:When you take your dogs to someone to groom them do you always tip them? That seems strange to me. But I have never been to a groomer. I would think that if a person is working in their own home the cost of the services would include everything. But if you go to a place where the groomers work for a wage then a tip would be appropriate. But I don't know anything about that stuff.snapshot said:Made one pint and thirteen half pints of spiced pear butter out of a ten pound -free- bag of pairs. Had to buy a blender to make the Pear Butter-got an Osterizer 12 speed for $9.95 at a thrift shop I walked to. Today I washed my two Schnauzers and tomorrow I will give them haircuts (savings about $80 plus tip). Made a big crockpot of beans with a little ham for flavoring, rice and cornbread. That will be dinner for about four nights for dh and me.
But I'm a guy out in the sticks and if someone says the cost is $10 you can bet that he's not going to get a penny more. If they think they want an extra dollar tip then the price should be $11. I think women look at it differently though.
I'll find it again tomorrow and post it there. It is from chickensintheroad but I added different spices.Wifezilla said:Snapshot, can you post your pear butter recipe in the kitchen section?
